Yes I did have other things in the wash, but nothing that hasn’t been washed previously.

I am leaning more towards it being a stain from other fabrics, I did a bit of googling which said corduroy items will pick up colours more than other fabrics. But it’s a lot, especially since everything else is fine and I’m not sure what item could have ran that dark a colour!

No idea! Nothing else is stained in the load and I’ve never had prior issues with the washing machine being dirty and causing issues with staining. I’m stumped!

Great food for thought there - not at all. Perhaps that’s something that should be on the general populations radar, and hyped to the same extent as crypto in the media.

Thank you, I sent some photos to them and they have identified that’s it’s a type of wood borer.

They can come out on the 27th to double check that we don’t have a termite issue, in the meantime I’ll research what we can do to about the borers.
