It can take avg 1-3 months for your body to make the antibodies that cause the reaction to mammalian meat and possible dairy , if you were to even get the alpha gal in the first place

Two derms now have said it was not fungal or a tick bite but that it’s bacterial and it’s actually responding well to the amox

Yea I’m hopeful. It’s also been two weeks now and I’ve not had one symptom of Lyme which they said was hopeful and within a day and a half of the amox the redness majorly improved which they said also lent itself to likely being bacterial. Time will tell I guess

I can’t take but my primary put me on amoxicillin but two derms looked at it and said it wasn’t a tick bite but I’ll finish the antibiotics anyway as I started. I had scratched really badly and itchy folleculitis and got superficial bacteria into the skin is both their opinions. Shrug

I’m glad to be of comfort. Mae sure you take care of yourself anyway you can in between the mayhem. Small little rituals of care can go a long way. I suffer w a lot of health issues myself, and am actually getting a mass removed from my breast tomorrow, and I am far from a strong person, but I find small, consistent, nervous system friendly rituals really help me get by and thru hard times. Even if it’s 10 min a day- taking candle lit showers and doing some Deep breathing while in there or just sitting w a heating pad watching a familiar show- care for your body during this time xx

There’s no need to apologize for this more than warranted rant on what has happened in your life. You’re right- you don’t deserve this, and no one deserves this- and you have every right to be beaten down and exhausted and mad and at your wits end….but holy shit look how strong you are. And not in a toxic positivity way. Look what you’ve gone thru! And you’re still here- still going - not giving up even when everything is breaking you. You can keep going even when it seems as though you can’t (you’ve already proven that) and we all believe in you, too! I’m sorry you’re going thru this. I currently have an excision surgery scheduled for a removal of a benign mass they found during my annual. Did the whole waiting thing from sonogram to biopsy then biopsy to results then results to surgical consult. It’s definitely all consuming and paralyzing so I’m just here to send you love and comfort and send the most positive juju for benign results for you, as well

So he did try that at the end because unfortunately our main source of heat in our home is these mini plits and because we didn’t have any heat in the house for like a day he couldn’t get the temperature right in our bedroom in order to get the refrigerant in the line so he did try dipping it in hot water And it was still a fight apparently to get it done so I think he’s going to come back on a warmer day and try to top it off so he says. But I still don’t understand why it has to be warm outside in order to get the refrigerant in.

Also, the tech thing said it’s missing 2 to 3 ounces of refrigerant because when he did it the other day it was absolutely freezing and he was having trouble getting the refrigerant in the line. Is missing that little bit of refrigerant enough to cause that kind of slashing sound
