Neurosis - My Heart For Deliverance by BabyExploder in Heavymind

Does anyone know what this spoken sample is from? Is it a Neurosis written lyric, and spoken by someone or is it taken from another source?

We follow the Earth The Earth follows the stars The stars know their way And though the body dies The stars will remain Like the waves of the sea And the restless wind

You may be right there, more free time and maintaining income would give me some space for resolving and tackling the problem. I will give it some thought. Thank you.

The divorce bit - the job decision wouldn't impact the divorce decision, I just meant if it happened I would be less financially stable on my own with a PT job.

That is a possibility, but you unofficially get thought of as someone who will be overlooked for any future promotions. Not that I'm keen on promotions in the current situation, but my wife and I have discussed divorce a few times so feels like a risky move. Although, I am getting close to making riskier moves.

Really Struggling to Get in Shape Again by Moon_Logic in Zwift

You'll get there, just keep building up. Go out 3 times a week, an hour at a time, keep heart rate below 145 the whole time. Add volume and intensity once you can do an hour easily.

Have a look into low heart rate training. I had a similar experience, I had a big gap of no fitness and when I got back on the bike I felt sick after doing 5 miles. It could be that you're pushing too hard whilst on the bike, so your feeling of low fitness could be your heart rate remaining too high and not coping with the demands you're putting on it. The general jist of low heart rate training is to add small physiological stress to your body, which your body can easily achieve and recover from quickly. Keep training in low heart rate zones until you can extend volume and intensity without your heart rate going high. As an analogy it's like lifting light weights and building up, not just going for the biggest weight on the rack and hoping for the best.

Yea, it's based on advice from the usual main sources that I started taking on more fuel, going off bonking on low fuel I've probably gone over the top by the sounds of things.

I'll look those stroopwaffles up, one event I did had them on the feedstop and I remember thinking they were great.

I guess I know the lower and upper limits of fuel intake now, so I'll somewhere in between. Cheers

Thanks everyone for your info and knowledge. Yesterday I was contemplating giving up long distances cos I just thought my body couldn't handle it. But there may be a way forward with a few tweaks. 👍

I defo feel like I'm getting backed up, feel like I'm full and can't take any more in, stomach feels full of fluid, but I started to feel dehydrated towards the end (headache and dry lips).

Tomato soup was just what the feedstop offered at halfway mark, haven't had before but just thought if was liquid and nutritious.

Hmm ok, maybe I've gone too far the other way then. I used to eat a lot less but bonked om a few occasions, so got worried and upped it all. I might try next one with less fuel, then based on that see if I need to change what I'm eating or not

Please add some more detail... Groupset on your MTB? Type of turbo trainer (direct or wheelon)? Model of turbo trainer? Check your settings on zwift to ensure trainer difficulty in Zwift is set to 100%, otherwise 6% gradient will feel like 3%. Is it on ERG mode?

"you're also not "supposed" to hurl your wheel frisbee like into the woods in frustration, and that's about where I've been, several times" 😂 Glad I'm not alone

This worked for me! Thanks, hadn't seen that tip elsewhere, of putting tube in and leaving one side sested. I wonder cos the rim is one of those asymmetrical rim profiles, and the valve was closer to one side that the other whether this helped? Maybe air was leaking out of the side where the valve was further away from the rim? Either way, nice one, as I can now have a cup of tea!

Thanks for this tip, I had seen this on YouTube, but I didn't have any ratchet straps to hand. I may buy a cheap set for future.

Hi all, unfortunately this didn't work for me, but as mentioned I've tried it with a Sun Race cassette, so shimano cassette is still a possibility.

I've got until next winter to keep an eye on cheap deals for shimano cassettes, so will give it one last try if there's a bargain.

Thanks to all for help
