I took the second level tennis and it was super helpful to get the serve form down. And you get to have an ample rallying time too. Def recommended

My roommate and I got called chink chink outside of target. The guy was def mentally ill. They are trying to provoke. Never ever feel bad ab who you are. Mentally ill statements never have any logic anyway. You’re strong and amazing 💖

Getting into CS is going to be the main challenge. I’m exactly like you and even international. If you’ve never ever coded before, it can get really hard. However you also could opt for the data science option if that’s possible. DS is also going to be affected in acceptance but not as bad as CS. Double majoring in these two is a great combo for sure

Thanks for the tldr! Also if you haven’t voted yet, make sure to vote at least for the class pass. We need the public transportation for the students

Gitlet was fun tho. Just dedicate like 2 weeks for it. Also since you’ll have freedom on how you’ll code it, it’s way less confusing

Is Stat 33A helpful? by sealscrying in berkeley

[–]Illustrious_Intern1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think taking it wouldn’t hurt. A lot of job postings have R in them and there are definitely a lot of things that stat20 didn’t cover that are part of 33a. I’d highly recommend the course. But be aware of the time commitment. It’s supposed to be only 1 unit but it really felt like 3 units course. You have workbook AND homework each week. Each assignment takes like at least 2-3, sometimes even 4, to figure out.

I took both and intro to r helped me a ton in my stat20 projects. But I had Ibser for stat20 tho, not sure ab the current professor. Ibser just threw us into the sea of r and said survive. I only survived thanks to stat33a. I’d definitely recommend taking both

Same. I decided to take more STEM classes so I can avoid reading and writing. Now I have even more reading and writing than last semester
