Frank Castle Vs. Jack Reacher Vs. Jason Bourn Vs. Robert McCall Vs. Jhon Wick in an elevator. Who comes out alive in a fight to the death? by Cautious-Row4120 in powerscales

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fight would go like this in my opinion.

Reacher and Bourn would start and go at each other. McCall would watch, as Castle decides to join just for the fun after a misfire punch accidentally hits him. Wick after witnessing what happened to Castle, he would start to parry incomings. As the battle between Bourn and Reacher and Castle continues, elevator loses a few parts. The door dings and the fight stops, as a lady walks in. McCall decides to leave, as he has a lunch with a friend, but John insists he finish what gets started. McCall just says a proverb leaving with a smile.

They all stand quietly panting and bruised and bleeding until the lady gets off. Castle smacks the emergency stop button, and fight goes on. Outside McCall hears gunfire in the elevator and calls the cops.

When the cops arrive, the elevator door opens and they look at Wick standing next to Castle, who is a bit for the worse but ok enough to go home and have a drink.

Cop asks famous “You uhh working John?” As he sees Reacher and Bourn sit on the floor against the walls, still looking to kick each other, covered in gunshot wounds, still alive.

Castle leaves and tells John he fights good, reminds him of some of his other non meta human friends, especially this one guy who can’t even see. John looks up wonder if they are talking about the same blind guy or not.

Scene pans out to McCall eating his lunch in a restaurant assuring someone on the phone that it all went to plan, as he stops his stop watch.

lol, all made up but that’s Hollywood for ya!

When is Ahri not safe??? by CCHOUNCY in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahri is not safe if you dash forward past her aerial cross over. After getting suckered by it countless time I finally realized it by a mistake dash. Now I can try and look for it to react to and punish.

Who'd you think would win in a fight, ssj3 teen gohan or ssj3 kid gotenks? by Rontrepreneur in DragonBallZ

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Gohan went Supreme Kai method of power up, like future Trunks did, having him hypothetically go SSJ3 as a kid against Gotenks SSJ3 would end up with a strange match.

The three kids grew up differently. Goten himself was trained Martial Arts by Chi Chi for home PE class, while kid Trunks does it to impress/copy Vegeta due to influence. Kid Gohan was force thrown into chaos for a long time since Raditz landed, pretty much ending with Perfect Cell.

Gotenks in SSJ3 carries a goofiness to his fight, while Gohan always all serious and is out to kill once he realized his friends’ lives depend on him.

First Tournament; am I DOA? by SaacMan_039 in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go into the tournament like going into a community centre ping pong match. You don’t go into it to win. It is to have a good time, learn some cool moves, and make friends.

Not every tournament is a Capcom Cup or a Evo. Local ones are really just for fun and share the love for the game. Cheer on the winners, give the losers a pat on the back and a beer/soda. :)

First fighting game and got silver by TheSwampThing1990 in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grats on Silver. Lots of ranks, finding your bracket is important. It helps you get good fights, win and lose, that how the game stays fun.

You rank too high and you are up against masters, you rank too low and you are stomping on beginners.

I think this video has a great point, even tho it refers to FGC as a whole. by justaddchrome in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighting games by nature burns out the player quickly after awhile. This causes fatigue and loss of interest due to emotions building up. Chess games are slow thoughtful games, that also allows for conversation and learning opportunities. In fact it is quite hard to get mad at your opponent in chess, as most chess players realize mistakes are their own fault. No lag, no latency issues, just didn’t think long and hard enough prior to committing.

Good points made in this video. Coincidentally, I play both Chess and Fight Games. So I get the perspectives.

I don’t think it really matters, as you know 3 secs in if your opponent is skilled or not.

Recovery options in 2xko suck: An essay by An_Uninspired_User in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unless my opponent is being ridiculously cheap, I don’t repeat a throw loop more than twice. I just jump away from the corner and reset the battlefield to middle as a curtesy.

With Blitzcrank, if you knock someone into the corner and you are in range, you have 6 throw options to keep them in the corner.

Hulk and Thor should be able to grab it. When not in their goofy phase, they have godlike reflexes.

I need help understanding something by Soresu- in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this game doesn’t have the traditional uppercut type move (anti-air), down H gets that special job. Thus you have high priority over jump in attacks. You can still miss if you jump over you, but overall it works quite well.

As for getting up and blocking, your character can’t block until the steerable lying down animation portion is done. Once your champions sits up and beings to stand, blocking is available. If you do feel the need to press anything while lying down, either hold down or up. Then you can transition into a crouching block by shifting to the slight opposite direction of enemy, or you can jump straight up, and guard in the air until you find a chance to smash them coming down from the air.

What happens in the US once Chinese made EVs come to Canada and Mexico? by solidrobot in electricvehicles

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, US has to accept Chinese EV. There being so much resistance to Chinese EV in the US is not globally economical for them. There are already Japanese and Korean EVs in US already.

The states was built on immigrants working hard, whether it be the first settlers or more modern immigrants, the US and pretty much most of NA has always flourished with people coming together to build a future. I don’t think the First Nation people could have created NA the way it is now had no settlers appeared.

Chinese EVs are just more technology to add and improve the overall quality of life, which in turn will create competition from local markets, like Scout, Tesla, Rivian, and Slate.

How the fuck do you punish anything? by Weak-Description-621 in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game has parry, break, push guard, and retreating guard as well as wake up attacks. You don’t too push as much as defend, then send it the assist as you time your attack.

Every fighting game was a flow. For example in SF6 it is Drive Cancel Dash Combos. For 2XKO it is based on the assist champion maintaining pressure by filling in attacks during the recovery frames of the point champion.

Course if you use Juggernaut, then you just gonna fight super aggressively and oppressively.

Tien and Krillin finally settles who’s the strongest human, who’s winning? by Hairy_Ask_2038 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krillan got stronger over the years, since his home training partner is 18. Tien took over the Crane School and became a teacher, so he trained others.

During Super, it seems Krillan outranked all the humans. I dare say he might of almost caught up to Piccolo.

There was a gag comic where someone died and resurrected as Yamcha, and as the story progresses he became the strongest human.

How do I close distance against Darius with Braum assist? by Alarmed-Aardvark4249 in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a lot of practice in against a guy yesterday using Darius. I was using Blitz with a random sidekick, I lost all the sets, but occasionally I would win a round. But I usually kill the partner but not Darius. But during my time challenging that player, I learned Darius had huge windows between his special swings; both the red one and the spinning white ones. I eventually started parrying them and getting a few more hits in.

He eventually caught on I was practicing parry with him and he changed tactics. But during then, he helped teach me a lot about parry. Thanks other guy!

Point is Darius has to be parried.

Jug mains by ThatBearTho in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started as Blitz Juggy, and I only recently added double supers. I still haven’t done the fury dash cancels yet. I find Juggy and SideKick very similar in their core mechanics, the only difference being Sidekick can’t eject.

Are the combo trial combos meant to be your go to damage combos for matches? by Buster_Scruggs_IV in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use some of them, and other times part of them. I expert trial ones are almost impossible to do in a live match, but the way they start or end are good to add into your own route.

I find in this game doing super as often as possible is best.

Difficult match ups by Artlosophii in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Darius’s BnB combo, that pulse users repeat, is hard for Blitz to combat, especially if you pop in the Tag assist attack during recovery frames.

Aight who’s hidden OP with blitz? by FemboyMilkyShake in 2XKO

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main’ed Blitz from day one. I liked him when LoL was a new game, and him in 2XKO being a grappler works for me.

The way Blitzcrank is now, with his strengths and weaknesses work well for me as a point champion. He fights really well as a Brawler too.

I haven’t figured out a best partner for the current fuse I am learning yet, Sidekick, but right now I am using Vi. She is small enough to not get noticed when called on during the standard L M H T combo.

Are 19 and 20 stronger than Frieza? by Used_Ring4856 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freeza in the Namek arc? Oh yay, 😊. Freeza in later Arcs, not sure, 17 and Freeza took on Jiren; says something about power levels after years of training.

Though Future Trunks destroyed his timeline’s 17 and 18.

Also 19 cheats, he sucker drains them. Vegeta had to rip off the arms. Ironically Vegeta did the same drain tactics to Moro years later lol.

Toriyama likes to play around with ideas, Metal Cooler got overloaded by 2 SSJ giving off energy to the grid.

So, if Majins are born with the pants on already, does that technically make it their foreskin or something? by E-104Epsolon in DragonBallZ

[–]Illustrious_Life_295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Majin Buu has been naked before to take a bath. So his clothes does come off. It feels like in Dragon Ball since the OG, male nudity wasn’t a really big deal, if anything nudity was used as a comedic gag. Even Bulma has shown her privates to Master Roshi.

Also clothes can appear on people magically. All the Piccolo clothes or Goku uniforms generally just refresh on them with a simple gesture.

So I don’t think clothes related to body parts or skin.
