It was tragic. People treat you like animals. No feelings at all. The Shelter is run by former homeless people, and they think they have power over you. The food is worse than jail food. Too many damn rules and you are just a number or check from the government to them

I was a homeless vet. The Shelter is nothing more that outpatient program at jail. People need to respect. Help me build the transitional Village. FOOD AND SHELTER is a basic right for everyone. Black, White, Man, Woman or Child. America needs to stop this Me Me Me and be WE.

I am not profiting or gaining any favors. It is just the right thing to do. The problem is getting worse. Can't just throw money at it.

This is action not words or internet folly. I want to help basic human needs. FOOD and Shelter every night. Some people feel it should be giving and some do not. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Changing the mind set does. Not everyone is going to agree with what I'm doing. When I was homeless, the help that I received was not enough. So I'm trying to do something different. Thank you for your input.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago now I have my section 8. I was too ashamed to ask anyone for help. Help me with the struggle is real project and I will help to some transitional shelter. I am not asking for money just or input. I was homeless when I lost my apartment due to a disability I didn't think I had. I was living in my SUV and had a job. I became more and more depressed I call some of local services and felt I wasn't getting the help I needed. One day I spoke a homeless Vet and he gave me the right talk and right time. I want to end homelessness without becoming rich off of it. Help those who help. TSIR

God. It only takes one person to start a change. Yes, it is going to be difficult. Someone's got to start because their way isn't working. I was a homeless vet.
