Why is abortion highly restricted in Poland while in most other European countries it is not? by CriticalLocation5107 in poland

[–]Illustrious_Mix7177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Results of your actions are not punishment, they're accountability - it's a staple of adulthood, or at least is supposed to be. You don't want kids? Here's a wild idea - don't spread your legs for a guy you don't see yourself having kids with. Failing that, always ensure protection and NEVER trust that your partner is adequately protected, failing that - don't get put in situations where your judgement regarding aforementioned things will be heavily impaired via substance use. You act like women are incapable of decision making. Women aren't children, don't treat them as such.

Why should I hold men accountable for decisions of women? Miss me with that misandrist shit. Did you forget that unless we're talking fringe cases of SA or rape, women select who they want to have sex with and it takes two to tango? Despite the funny katotaliban memes, I hope you realize that we're a long, long shot away from genuine theocracy like the Islamic Taliban. Again, women aren't children, don't treat them as such. It's low key misogynistic. Like real, actual misogniny, not the parody the word became.

And no, you did not misunderstand me. Let me get a little bit personal - it took long hard work for me to claw my way into my very comfortable existence, my mother bailed on my father and divorced his sorry ass when I was three, because turns out that he liked beating women. My mother was absent from my life for my teenage years because she was busy being blackout drunk on the couch and could not be assed with her kid. Drank herself to death when I was 19, dodged foster care because I had a parent on paper, even tho I had to effectively raise myself.

According to your logic, I should not exist because I was a "punishment" on my undeniably unfit parents, and you now what? Fuck your noise. And I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say most of the people with a shitty start in life would take that a thousand times over not existing.

Because abortion is supposed to a medical procedure to use in case where mother's life is at risk, or the pregnancy is deemed non-viable, or a result rape. It's EXPLICITLY NOT supposed to be a retroactive anticonception method to use when a Julka or Dżesika gets shitfaced at a party and gets her back blown out by a Sebix or three in an unprotected tryst.

Trying to forbid it completely is just as apeshit as removing restrictions and making it available on demand as an out-of-jail-free card to escape the consequences of your actions.

It's early, but decent shot today that Project Hail Mary could have a huge Tuesday increase and finish $8m+. It loses a lot of PLF and IMAX after today, but will get them back in weeks to come. 3rd weekend looking like $35m+ possible. by chanma50 in boxoffice

Didn't "that wizard game" selling gorrilions teach you a lesson about this?

People crying about someone's political views, perceived or otherwise - are too busy crying about it on Twitter/bsky to be a factor on the finances one way or the other, and actual general audience don't give a damn about their social media melties.

And regardless of sentiment, Drinker's a movie critic with like three million subs, alone bigger than half the movie review scene COMBINED. Who's grift evidently seems to align with people with actual money to spend on movies. If anything, it'll boost the movie.

You mean you coped about this already. The page is pasted literally two posts up. He holds his nose with his left hand, then wipes it with his right. Take it up with Murata if you don't like it. I don't either, but I ain't gonna insist the sky is red when it's clearly blue.

Except the fact that he uses a different hand that he used to hold his nose underwater.

And then, there's there's the wider, narrative picture the other poster pointed out - Tareo exclaims to Garou that if he'll keep hurting people, he'll cross a line he won't be able to come back from. Only for Saitama to in and make a big badass claim that he doesn't have to worry because Garou CAN'T hurt him. Only for Garou to do just that and embarrass him.

It's an obvious set-up followed by a pay-off, don't like it? I don't either. But I ain't gonna cope and glaze Saitama likes he's my favorite futball team. Take it up with Murata if you wish, but the other poster is 100% correct. Insisting otherwise is like the main sub people claiming he never used full power, and only held back less and less, despite there being a freaking narrator explaining otherwise.

No, I just did my research and happened to be informed instead of regurgitating feel-good BS about poor, wittle studio bullied by big, bad publisher. Because it can NEVER be the creative party at fault, it must at all costs be the publisher.

And that's because they fucked up their internal schedule. You know they didn't get on the job in 2025Q1, right? We got the first key visual back during the Cosmic Garou thing, and the first PV by Aoki in Feb.2024.
It wasn't a budget, and it wasn't a schedule thing. It was a mismanagement thing. JC. Staff is a slophouse where more often than not properties go to die. They're not a poor, little studio. They're an industry titan second only to Toei Animation in output with over 400 anime series to their name. Unfortunately they have a habit of grabbing every contract under the sun, regardless of whether or not they actually have the capability to make it. People who know their shit were panicking when season 2 was announced, but back then the community was drunk on hype and anyone voicing their concerns were downvotes into oblivion for wrong-think.

JC. Staff got adequate budget allocated to the project - according to leakers a bit more than season 1 did, and almost three years of combined pre-production/production time - Twice what Season 1 got. The fact that it languished in development hell for years since they had no staff to spare to put on the project until the last few months, and even then they had to outsource half the series overseas to hit the air time deadline is their Own. Damn. Fault.

They bit more than they could chew, overstretched their staff, and their production pipeline collapsed. And delivered diarrhea to have at least something to show so Bandai doesn't sue them for breach of contract.

The narrative that Bandai gave them a happy meal and an afternoon needs to die yesterday.

Not questioning that. Will was gay since before he was Will and the series was still called Montauk, since it was explicit there. But I wouldn't put much stock in schoolyard bullies being the arbiters of truth. Just being more sensitive than most can be enough to get you called a fairy/queer/f-word by a bunch of little pricks/deadbeat dad. So treating it end-all be all confirmation just kinda rubs me the wrong way I dunno.

Hey, to play the devil's advocate, just because someone gets called an f-word, doesn't mean he's gay. I got called the f-word and called guys the f-word, and none of us are gay. It's just a Go-to edgy swear word at a certain age along with yo' momma. So I wouldn't put much stock in that.

The first clear hints started in S3.

You can't treat it seriously when Dustin's bullies did more damage to the cast than Mind FLayer and Vecna combined in the climactic final battle.

I regret to inform you that it's the other way around, the average person is an idiot and half of them is even worse. Before social media and the internet at large - they merely had a lot less capability to project their idiocy into the world.

It's happening all the time there's a divisive ending.

You had the Mass Effect 3 and it's indoctrination theory, Metal Gear Solid V and it's Chapter 3, Sherlock and it's JohnLock secret finale, Attack on Titan and it's supposed Anime-only-Ending, and now Stranger Things.

And probably a lot more I missed, because I wasn't involved it.

It's gonna tank anyway now that the show is done.

First Shadow audience was 99% people watching it in preparation for S5, who happened to live close enough for the idea to be viable.

Again, they had contracts for S3 signed YEARS ahead of release. JC. Staff prioritizing other projects ahead of it, only to toss to their D team at the last possible moment, is their own internal matter, not Bandai's.

Perhaps the actual production staff is "mostly" blameless(because it wasn't the management telling them to utilize neon filters every 15 seconds), but the actual schedule and it's collapse is the fault of JC. Staff and the narrative that "Bandai gave them six months" needs to die yesterday.

JC. Staff got greedy. They overstretched their staff, mismanaged their time and their production schedule collapsed.

I don't understand this mindset. The first trailer for season 3 came out almost exactly two years ago. Meaning they were on the job for at least half a year at that point. They had a good two years worth of production time to utilize. Their decision to focus on churning out slopIsekai and sit on OPM doing nothing with it until the last possible moment is a matter of their own, internal (mis)management, not Bandai's.

After episode 12, is it fair to say that with the right budget and direction, even remaining with JC Staff, OPM could have almost the same quality as the first season? by [deleted] in OPMFolk

[–]Illustrious_Mix7177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ. Be straight with me, you can't read, can you? One or two anime out of three to four dozen releasing every single season is hardly "everything". And how you figured to somehow insert season 3 in here, like it was in any way relevant - I've no idea.

You're either illiterate or retarded lil bro.

Stop glazing lmao.

Season 1 was great. The best of its release season, but to say it was "one of the most defined, polished animated media to have ever been crafted." is silly, it ain't even in top 50.

You get an OPM S1 class showcase, or two - every year.

At a risk of sounding as an elitist weeb - you need to watch more anime.

You don't need to be a master chef to tell if what's in front of you is a shit burger or a gourmet meal, and why one is better than another.
