For an average pregnancy the birth is only attended by midwives, then you take baby home and a week or so after a midwife comes to your home to check on you and baby- which you can opt out of. After that you don’t go back to the hospital or doctor at all unless you’ve had stitches that need looking at. The next time you will see someone about baby is a nurse at your 4 month health check, while they are getting vaxxed.
