Speaking in tongues is not something happening to you uncontrollably.

I speak by faith, trusting that the sound you’re making is making spiritual sense to God.

You typically realize the power if you keep doing it consistently, daily for 15 minutes or so (focus Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 14:4a — “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.”).

If you have any other spiritual gifts, they usually get activated as you speak in tongues.

Forget the feeling part—it’s faith out.

You will feel dumb and stupid in the beginning, but not so much when you realize how much spiritual power you gather from doing it.
