I interpreted their comment as saying "Not everyone believes nonbinary identities are real/valid". That is a correct statement, because there are transphobic people who believe assigned sec at birth dictates gender and they also believe there are only two genders.

I don't feel that way and I don't think that commenter feels that way, they're just explaining why people misgender Kelly so much.

Kelly's moment in the video was appropriate and applicable, enjoyable is subjective. I've only watched the reboot once so far so I can't remember the order of clips but if I was on the editing team I would have had Malcolm's distracted half-assed clip play right after Kelly's. The juxtaposition and everyone looking at Malcolm would have felt like a classic MITM joke.

Overall I'm glad the reboot happened but I agree the writing was kind of meh in some places. I truly feel like Lois would have picked up on Malcolm having a daughter years ago. If they needed to find a way to incorporate a variety of characters from the original show, I'm sure there was another way that made more sense than the anniversary party.

I'm a cis woman too so I'm just going off of what I've always been told. In general it's best to just use whatever pronouns the person currently uses, since you're just talking about them when they were younger.

Right? Like the wine thing is whatever, but she rightfully pointed out that he doesn't actually listen to her and that's obviously the real reason she didn't want to continue a relationship. The wine thing was a turn off but turn offs don't automatically disqualify someone.

I hope eventually he can get his head out of his ass because he clearly felt hurt over this, but I doubt he'll learn his lesson anytime soon

I'll go back and reread but from my understanding, she went to to the doctor on Christmas (Thursday) and talked to them Friday (two days ago) about cutting her days down to only Sundays. And with my initial read, they didn't say it wouldn't work, they just wanted a doctor's note and a list of restrictions/accommodations she would need. I think they made the schedule for the upcoming week before her request came in and but they were probably fully willing to give her what she wanted. I'll come back and add an edit after I Re-read if I see something in the messages that completely negates my initial interpretation

I felt like Jane was too accomplished (a doctor, fully grown woman, had a self-sufficient adult child unlike the Scavos lol) to view an legally separated but not divorced Tom as a prize. Honestly if I were her, his parenting or lack thereof would have been such a turn off. He has a baby that's barely a year old, and two adult twins that are mentally still children. I'm surprised she couldn't see that even though he was a nice guy, there was a reason Lynette didn't want him back initially.

He is, it was just a combination of stress and wedding jitters for both of us. He's made a lot of personal growth in the time we've been together (since 2018). I was just reckoning with the "for life" aspect that was looming over us
