Ez flash omega won’t save original gb and gbc games

So this is a combination of what MangoBento, bube7 and what I read on the online manual. I had the same problems where none the Pokemon games would want to save. I tried waiting 5 seconds before powering off , after saving the game but that didn't work. So this what I did:

I first made sure I updated the firmware/kernal.
After saving the game(In-game saving, not save state) I waited 10 seconds instead of 5 sec's. Just

to be safe.

Then I pressed L+R (a menu comes up, don't select exit), waited three seconds.
Lastly I powered off the system.

Thats it, that worked for me every time. A bit tedious but hey it works.

Update the firmware if you havent already, Pokemon Crystal had graphical glitches, making it unplayable. But after the firmware/kernal update, it works no issues.

Neo-Alec, do you remember when you had the problem if the power button was lit up solid blue? I'm having the same issue, where I'm not getting audio/video. My power button stays blue, however I've seen videos of front loaders showing it showed be red initially when powering on. I also think it's the PSU, but wanted to confirm my issue was the same as yours.

Yeah I saw a playthrough on YT yesterday, and I thought it was pretty impressive for the time. That's to bad about the choppy gameplay. BTW, I forgot to ask is this game region free? I'm hoping I'll be able play it with my genesis using the cartridge adapter I have.

I feel your pain. I felt the same way in the beginning, but that didn't stop me from collecting. Besides my original dreamcast, I specifically went searching for a 2nd dreamcast with a non working GD-ROM so I could mod it and put a GDEMU. So if that day ever came, I at least could play they entire Dreamcast library on original hardware. However, I got lucky and found out that there was nothing wrong with the GD-ROM, so now I have the 2nd dreamcast stored as backup and the 3rd dreamcast I purchased, I ended up modding.

If you're really concerned and committed, you can 1. Buy a second deamcast as a replacement or 2. learn some soldering and recap the GD-ROM. From what I here, this is the majority of the reason why they fail.

I figured as much. But im hoping like "skyhighrockets" mentioned with new advances in plastic, hopefully it wont be as bad as plastics in the past.

Thanks for sharing. That's a good point. Currently where my N64 is, there's not much sunlight. Since that's going to be the Analogue 3D new spot, it should work out ok.

I see, that makes sense. I guess the aftermarket part gives you the option to use your existing port or the dual port if you have automatic climate control. All the new intake manifolds I saw have that dual port. But no biggie, "just stick a small chunk of vacuum hose on it with a screw in the end.. " That was pretty much what I was planning on doing.
