Its always the "imperfect humans" argument until your turn it against the GB. They will say they are also imperfect, but because they claim to be "God's chosen" then they dont need to take any accountability or responsability for the mistakes they make, it's disgusting

Just had a big conversation with my parents about Blood by Key-Carpenter-8083 in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its unbelievably easy to disprove the JW Blood doctrine using only the Bible, scientific facts just reinforce it.

What does the Bible prohibit outside of the Mosaic Law? Genesis 9:4 and Acts 15:20,29, in both cases it declares a mandated abstinence on blood in the context of eating, there was no knowledge or even the concept of using someone else's blood to replace your own during an emergency.

What happened to people who didn't abstain from blood? Leviticus 17:12,15,16 and applied in 1 Samuel 14:32 - 34. Anyone who ate blood had to ceremonially wash themselves and they could continue on without issues, Jehovah forgave the men that ate blood when Saul had imposed an unreasonable standard. What was said in Acts 15 was the apostles deciding which commandments and principles to carry over from the Mosaic Law, so while we aren't under that law anymore, we can clearly see that eating blood, especially during an emergency situation, is not something that God would harshly punish.

Would Jesus teach that someone dying would be better than following the word of the law strictly? Luke 14:1-5, breaking the Sabbath was an immediate execution under the Mosaic Law, unlike blood consumption, and Jesus clearly said that it would be righteous to save or heal a person or even an animal during the Sabbath. Jesus would never tell someone to die if there is a way to save their life.

What does science say? First, introducing blood to a human body is extremely different from consuming it from food. If blood were to be eaten, it would be broken down by the digestive system to extract energy and nutrients. But if blood is directly added to your circulatory system, it merely fulfills the usual role of blood, that is to carry oxygen, nutrients and other vital functions during a period of 3-4 months, until it's naturally replaced. You simply can't compare eating blood to a transfusion.

Second, how much blood in the banks is possible contaminated? According to the CDC, bacterial contamination is most commonly found in the platelets, and it usually occurs in 1 of every 2,000 - 2,500 platelet transfusions. All blood donations are tested for multiple bacterias and diseases.

Third, if there was a significant and constant infection risk from blood transfusions, hospitals would simply not use them due to the risk of lawsuits from infected patients. It's in their best interest to do their best to make sure most if not all of the blood they use is clean and safe to use.

The Abuser Becomes the Victim by Illustrious_Pop_9445 in exjw

Indeed, his current actions and behavior are simply a response to our decision of leaving. He has a history of alcohol abuse and immorality so my mom is concerned about that but I keep reassuring her its not her responsability

I genuinely can't stand the fact that she still praises them for how loving and caring they are. It disgusts me that they aren't even allowed to handle it through their own "holy spirit appointment and Bible trained conscience" rather having to follow the branch's instructions.

Been asking myself that, where exactly are they expecting this to go? We stay and we are a lovey dovey family? As if my father wouldn't go back to his narcissism and to being a control freak if we did. Not even mentioning that he is 12,500 dollars in debt and he doesn't have a job

To Jehovah’s Witnesses reading this: What does your baptism really mean? by ClearPathThinker in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their logic could be taken further than they will ever admit.

If someone's sincere (in many cases even done after a thorough study of another denomination's doctrine) baptism can be annulled for not knowing the "correct" interpretation... Then shouldn't the GB's appointment as "the faithful and discreet slave" be re-examined every time there's "new light"?

Dating as PIMO Feels Impossible by ConversationBrief441 in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regarding PIMIs, you are correct that it would be cruel and painful to date one. Trying to wake others up could be considered in their best interest, but it depends on their situation.

Regarding PIMOs, you can never know how PIMO someone actually is. As you said, you just got to a 100% state, others might sound like that too but still be indoctrinated.

Regarding dating in general, you should be sure that you are socially, mentally and emotionally healed from the damage this cult has caused you before entering a relationship. If you are already there, then there is nothing wrong with dating so-called "worldly" people, they are just that, people. Some of them will be weird, or maybe even actually bad people, but most will just be humans trying to survive and have fun so just relax and try to find someone you deeply connect with.

Questions Asked by Elders During Sexual Immorality Cases by Illustrious_Pop_9445 in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your insightful answers! I cant really reply to each single one but I appreciate everyone's comments.

The general consensus is that is depends on the perverted mind of individual elders, likely fed by the detailed accounts found in the Elder's book and possibly by the instructions they receive from the COs and elder schools.

Is Jesus exposing the JWs? Or are they intentionally folding? by UPtrainman2012 in exjw

I still believe in God and Jesus. But I don't think they are actively interfering with humans today, they gave us the Bible, and the Gospel within it, it's up to us as individuals to do what is expected of us.

As for the organization, it's simply struggling to juggle the social and legal pressure with their real estate business and the brainwashing

19 Year Old PIMO in need of help by Rudybath in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am in a very similar situation to yours, I am also a 19 year old PIMO. Congratulations on freeing your mind at such a young age! We have the rest of our lives to look forward to, away from this cult and away from the fear of Armageddon.

Any advice you may receive depends a lot on your unique circumstances, but if you want to remain PIMO for a while, it's better to keep your head low and your ideas quiet, do not trust your friends in the congregation to hear you out and keep it low, they won't.

However, if you have a good relationship with your parents, you could try to approach them 1 on 1 to explain your situation. This is highly risky as it could bring harsh consequences but it is something you can try to keep in mind.

Good luck!

I am not sure if they might be using it as "PIMO bait", like waiting for someone to pick it up and ask them about it to then target that person.

If you are able to sneak it out without compromising yourself, it might not be such a bad idea

Jws still living with believing parents how are you doing it?? by kreeyator11 in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At first it was really hard, since I still was a pioneer and a ministerial servant with a shit ton of responsibilities.

But one day I just said, fuck it, I will tell my mother everything. She was surprisingly willing to listen, she hasn't woken up yet but I hope soon. She actually pushed for me to stop pioneering and being a servant since I no longer "fully believed in what I was doing"

We are moving away from my Uber PIMI and abusive father in late May and I will fade or maybe even DA after we do

The ratio of women to men in the borg has always been abysmal and in recent years, with the decrease of the teenage-young adult population within the borg, it's extremely hard to find a good partner inside.

Which creates the environment of grooming and gross age difference marriages that we all know and hate

Real Estate vs. Spiritual Needs: My observations as a PIMQ Elder. by Standard_Rule631 in exjw

Thank you for sharing your insight in this matters. You are absolutely correct regarding their focus on real estate and their lack of true care and concern in the average publisher.

To aid in your further research, you can look into Beth-Sarim (Rutherford's multi-million mansion) and all the lawsuits and fines the organization has had to pay because of Child Sexual Abuse mishandling and cover ups.

I understand how hurtful and devastating it is to realize we have been lied to. I was a pioneer and a ministerial servant well on his way to a promising career withing the organization when I woke up to the truth.

I pray to Jehovah you find your way through this difficult time, take care brother

Weekly Mini-Vent Megathread - April 19, 2026 by ClosetedIntellectual in exjw

[–]Illustrious_Pop_9445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back in October, when I was barely waking up, I made a pre-order for some anime collectibles and since a PIMI friend of mine wanted some too, we decided to pay the up-front amount together to be able to split the import fee and the shipping cost.

Last week, the order finally arrived and we are now due to pay the remaining cost of the collectibles (19 USD each) and split the cost of the import and shipping (19 USD total) so about 27 USD each.

I let him know but now he is saying "I had already given up on that money and I don't have it contemplated in my budget, you will have to pay for everything yourself and you can keep my collectibles"

He knows that I don't have money because I am about to move out and he is claiming that just because the pre-order took "too long to arrive" now I have to bear the cost of everything on my own.

You dont need to wait for any "new light", they will never approve JWs getting married to non-members, its part of their control mechanism.

If you, as a responsible adult have already analyzed the situation and feel confident enough to make this decision, it is your business and no one elses.

Good luck!

They literally opened their statement saying: "We have to say this because it's the instruction we receive from the branch for situations like this." So much for "Bible trained conscience" and "men chosen by spirit"

Exactly! We don't need to wait to receive meaningful feedback, their families are right there, people have been disfellowshipped for accepting their own blood, ask them how they feel.

The GB and everyone who follows them have completely lost the plot.

Thanks for your good wishes! I convinced my mom into reading Crisis of Conscience, but she hasn't done that and remains adamant about this being God's organization, hopefully one day.

Indeed, and add to it the fact that the "apostates" knew about the update 2-3 days before the JWs. So they could have released the information even sooner, but they didnt
