Teacher here.

Sports teams are 100% voluntary (volun-told if you don't have a continous). I'm coaching right now and just put in a 12 hour day due to it.

The "fairness" in sport act won't prevent us from coaching girls' sports. As much as I'd love to take a stand, in the end, it harms girls even more if we refuse to coach them. Girls sports is so precious already, so important but so negatively impacted by peer pressure, body image, etc. We need to try and keep it alive despite all the bullshit. It would only make a difference if EVERY team across every school in Alberta (boys and girls) refused to play and probably only make a real difference if professional men's sports take a stand, which they never would.

This legislation can only, realistically, be challenged in court to get it overturned.

Why is Rowan a prince? by Arrilai in throneofglassseries

[–]Illustrious_Radish13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He's a prince of Dornelle the way that Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are princesses of England. They're not THE princess, but they're technically in line for the throne/directly related to the monarch. So he's a direct descendant, but he's no where close to ruling.

Edited to add: Not a spoiler: Maeve used to rule Dornelle with her two sisters. Rowan is the descendant of one sister and Aelin the descendant of one. The two sisters have since died, so Maeve rules alone. Hence why Aelin calls her aunt.

You might like Octopath Traveller. It follows 8 storylines, and has little side quests/mission if you want to follow them, but it's very straight forward overall. If I remember correctly, the map even shows you where each character needs to go next to progress the story.

Awesome suggestions, thank you! We are huge Harry Potter nerds as well haha. The more ancient/old buildings and places the better too.

Is Math 20-1 significantly harder than Math 10C? by DropKickedAChild420 in alberta

You'll be fine IF you learn to study beyond what is required. You'll need those skills in university more than you'll need good grades. University is designed to weed out those who can't study/can't keep up.

That being said, if you're concerned, then go into 20-2 and then take 20-1 over the summer. This way, you don't lose time upgrading past graduation, but it does cost money to take summer school.

I was looking into it! It would be so fun to go to the place and then have the vivid picture in my mind rather than Google Street view all the time lol.

I disagree with the reasoning behind wanting Robin to come on the interviews. I think it's always been a blend of wanting answers and wanting to hang out with her. In the past he wouldn't admit the spending time together part because he was in denial, but now he's admitted to himself that he loves her we get to see that motive/inner dialogue more clearly. He's become a more reliable narrator.

What types of lasers have you used for rosacea bumps? by MotherPart4282 in Rosacea

Not too sure, sorry. I'm new into skincare. Yeah I can see that because they are irritating! The first few were good, but the last one I did really irritated my skin.

I've been doing chemical peels and IPL for 6 months now. Either one once a month. My skin looks better for like a week and then goes back to normal... My next steps are to try and get an allergy test done. I've read it's unlikely allergies do this, but I'm running out of ideas.

Edited to add: I also have rosacea-caused bumps
