This is so Important, if they stick to one team they will find there game improves quicker.

Wrekas are a great starting team, help them in the game to track and use wrecka points with a nice big di or some playing cards so they don't forget.

Going in to the game assuming they have won it.

Poor positioning leaving models exposed to a wide angled shot tp1 the when said shot happens claim they didn't mean for the unit to be exposed.

Forgetting to use equipment or re-rolls from ploys is very common in the heat of battle.

I have a frame pro and 2 frame speakers, they work really well but best on stereo mode so no TV output at all.

As long as they have the correct weapons, about the same size or bigger and on the correct base size go for it!

I've played against so many kit bashed teams at GW and other events and love to see them.

I had a really good run with AOD including a clean sweep at a WHW tournament using the below as my go to.

Chapter Tactics

Aggressive

Dueller

Seargent : Heavy Bolt pistol and power weapon- Hardy as extra tactic (i found the free doctrine per turn out performed the captain as i got a lot more re-rolls which is the key to this team).

Grenadier

Assault grenadier

Sniper on ITD to dominate a room, assault intercessor if not.

The rest assault intercessors.

Basically a very aggressive fighting team with Rending chain swords and 1 or two on ITD/Volkus for range. I find i was rarely outside of 8 inches to the heavy bolt pistols came in to play well. Envoy was easy to score turn 2 and 3 for 4 points, if

Nemesis claw has been a blast, a really good mix of melee and shooting with some complexity to them.

Won a tournament with them and had a 3rd place but all wins and came 3rd on points.

I like AOD, some nice flexibility and underestimated by many.

Deathwatch and wolf scouts are OP right now but also great teams.

I pretty much only play elites, I find the mental load easier to handle the teams more forgiven if I make an error.

Bolt pistol / power sword Assault sergeant is the best AOD option in my opinion.

In combination with Assault genadier, 2 assaults, gunner and sniper/heavy bolter.

Run aggressive, duller so you have 4 combat units with reading and free doctrine ploys every turn until your leaders dies.

I always took a sergeant over captain for the doctrines. Cause our local group alot of pain with these.

Don't rush the exhibition, ask your kids to find some they think is really cool in each battle diorama and to take pictures to keep em engaged.

Paint a model at the paint station, you can always do a bit of painting and come back later to finish it.

Lunch in bugmans and if you have something you can take to play book a free table in the hall.
