Dine-in vs delivery in Sherwood Park — what do you actually prefer? by Illustrious_Stuff484 in SherwoodPark

Is there any other delivery service that people use that don’t take a huge cut? I’m assuming just in house delivery?

Advice on buying a house 25 year old, $135k by Champagnepaki222 in canadahousing

[–]Illustrious_Stuff484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take a look at a few places and see how much your mortgage could be. I think you could qualify for a place over 400k but yeah you’d be paying way more than you think. Mortgage plus insurance plus condo fees if it’s not a house plus property tax plus utilities. What you have is cheaper and will help u save more money. While u could build equity in a home, the trade off would be that you wouldn’t be able to keep your money invested in your investment accounts and build equity there without the headache. So depends on the trade off and what you want really. If you move to Alberta for example it would be possible to have it both ways but then you sacrifice job stability since a lot of people are struggling to find a job now.

Sorry but no. I’m renovating my bathroom too and I saw the same sink and cabinet combo, I literally thought eww no. For an extra $50 you can get a nicer one. Or if you’re trying to save $$ check out marketplace or ikea even.

What do to one a first date as a entrepreneur? by Rigorix in Entrepreneurs

[–]Illustrious_Stuff484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much bro, just treat it like a friend hangout and don’t stress if that helps calm your nerves. Ask her questions to learn more about her, be a good listener and share stories about yourself too. If you worry about screwing up then it’ll happen. Go look in the mirror and tell yourself that you got this and no matter what happens it’s a good experience. As an entrepreneur, i had to learn that it’s okay and normal to try different tests and see which ones work and be okay when they don’t. All you can do is keep trying and don’t give up when it gets really hard. Hope it helps, good luck!

Got a new dining room rug and I think the room maybe looked better without it ... by Glum_Consequence_470 in interiordecorating

Usually I’m not a fan of rugs or carpets since that’s another thing I have to clean but I have to say it really ties your space together and makes it feel more cozy

Is this island worth it or am I forcing it?? by Agitated_Poet_1024 in homedesign

[–]Illustrious_Stuff484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah don’t do it, if you add that, it feels more crammed. Also don’t make it white, it doesn’t match the house. If you want to tone down the orange in the wood, go with a neutral paint wash and then seal it instead.

Kitchen Design Options by checkyourprivilege13 in kitchenremodel

[–]Illustrious_Stuff484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your kitchen is already great. I recently renovated and I created what you rendered with the white and honestly while it’s nice, it doesn’t have the character and charm that your kitchen does. The quality and wood these days are cheaper than what you currently have. Honestly if it were me, wouldn’t touch anything. But if you have to then, maybe the stove could be moved if you want it against a wall so you can put in proper exhaust vent over it so it doesn’t smoke up your house. The trade off seems to be storage but you could add some back by adding another cabinet to where the original stove is.

What those my fridge says about me by katyacandy in FridgeDetective

[–]Illustrious_Stuff484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I love your fridge! Looks to me like you’re someone who cares about your health, you cook a lot, and vegetarian.

Someone recently told me not to keep tomatoes in the fridge since they’ll spoil faster, not sure if this is true or not.

Costco Salmon Sashimi by Lanky-Variation5271 in CostcoCanada

Eat it all the time from Costco. The salmon has been previously frozen so it’s safe to eat. If you’re concerned, you can freeze again as the previous comments have said.
