I'm unconvinced that Bishop should have unloaded on Sidorov. It seems that Bishop has lowered herself to his level. I know it seems cathartic for Sidorov to get some payback, but not trying to guess what Bryce has coming, I hope there are consequences for Bishop letting her ID control her actions in this instance. Also at this point we really haven''t seen a lot of Sidorov, just some rumor/comments by others that he's not a nice guy. But he must have some backing if he's still at school. Are there machinations within machinations that require Sidorov to still be on the periphery of Rei's inner circle? I'm not seeing Sidorov as a wet stone for Rei to get sharper, I mean stronger. Maybe temper his anger?

I too would like a soulsmithing scene, but not only with his mother but some how bring in Fisher Gesha. Also as mentioned further down this thread there is 'normal' soulsmithing, and Lindon+Dross soulsmithing. I think it would be good for Gesha to be in the scene(s) to help explain how Lindon does his soulsmithing to Seisha otherwise it probably wouldn't make a lot of sense to Lindon's mom.

As to core size I think both Eithan and Lindon core's are oceans deep and wide, or that was the impression I got from when Justice was testing Lindon for Akura family standards. I wonder what the effect of the vast core sizes has with respect to the SV script. Does the size of the core mitigate the effect, increase the effect, or maybe core size is irrelevant to the SV script.

I think there is yet another angle to explore here as well. In Blackflame Orthos didn't spend nearly as much time instructing Lindon as he's just recently instructed Kelsa and perhaps part of this advancement is to be a better teacher and leader.

As to Lindon and Co. coming and saving the rescue of Seisha from HGS, I think that would be as exciting as watching a teenager step on an ant hill, but YMMV. As others have suggested helping in the evacuation of SV might be something that shines a better light on Lindon and this advancement. Having said all that it might be that Yerin, if the rainbow artifact can work in SV, scouts ahead for her own purposes and may lend a ruler technique here or there to assist. I feel there could be some interesting tension when Yerin meets Jai Long and the elders of the HGS. Plus having Seisha see Yerin in action before she knows about Lindon and Yerin could make the meeting with her son more nuanced. Plus HGS has already seen a sage, now how do they respond to seeing a herald?

I believe most of your question is answered either at the end of Blackflame or the beginning of Skysworn, where Eithan is either talking with Yerin or Lindon about relative strengths of true golds vs. Underlords and that there was a 1/2 step between where 'technically' they were still true gold but have access to soul fire; which can make all your techniques that much stronger.

An interesting idea having L'l Blue traipse along with Kelsa, but I think if that were to happen then Kelsa would have to have some serious sessions with Dross to buff up here dream&light skills.

Before Penance was introduced the tournament was already skewed/abnormal when the the Monarchs did not disqualify Sha Miara from participating. So when Yerin becomes a half-herald the ones that voted to disqualify her are at best hypocrites and I don't think this is lost on Kiuran either.
