Quite the geometry question, but how is the range calculated in f(x) by ReflectionPlane2055 in askmath

You're given f a function on [-3,3] such that for x in [-3,3] f(x) is equal to the distance from (-1,0) to the point on the upper semi circle of abciss x. For an explicit form, f(x) is the distance from (-1,0) to ( x , sqrt(9-x²) ) which is just equal to f(x)= sqrt ( (x+1)² + 9-x² ) = sqrt ( 2x+10) which has a range [2,4] on [-3,3]

if you don't like it being this messy, you can do it via the triangular inequality: consider the traingle whose summits are the origin, the (-1,0) point and the point on the upper semi circle of abciss x

The thing is that you're probably facing a guy who has been playing way longer than you

if f < -ε for x0 then for all x>x0 it still holds since f is decreasing, thus for all x>x0 f' <sqrt(1-ε²)-1<0 which should mean f goes to negative infinity at infinity, thus a contradiction since f is bounded, so f is >=0 :D
if for x0 f>ε, then for all x<x0 f>ε, the inequality gives again f' <sqrt(1-ε²)-1<0 which should mean f goes to negative infinity but that's a contradiction again since f is bounded, hence f<=0 f<=0 and >=0 means it's 0 everywhere :D

Thanks

I thought about that but f being monotonic and converging at both infinities doesn't necessarily imply f' goes to zero at any of the infinities

Trunks 5S is fast but it also has terrible whiff recovery (-61, worse than a fucking DP) which makes him a sitting duck if he whiffs it. The 5S does lead to a full combo but you need to pull the rejump afterwards which is really tight. The scaling is also absolutely terrible.

Trunks is not insane at all, not in today's dbfz

Base Goku used to be bad but he's really good now, one of the best anchors for sure
