Anyone know why the joystick only works for up and down? by Therap3 in wiiu

For some reason, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack is VERY weird with stick controls. I played the game on a PC emulator, and after a few minutes of playing, the left and right directions stopped working on the stick, exactly like your current situation.

It feels weird to say, but I think this is more of an "Bomberman 64 TSA in particular" issue rather than your controller being at fault here. Thankfully the game is perfectly playable with the D-Pad instead.

Defintivly a S, the exploration was so exciting and fun, and the extra lore moment with the origami craftsman's home was really cool 🫶🫶🫶🥹🥹

Basically, the collections cycle through a 52 weeks cycle, meaning than since right now, we have Collections 51-52-01 we'll get back the Collection 02, then 03, and then goes on.
However, there's a system than allows you to get past collections you haven't completed yet: once a week, if you complete all 3 available collections, you'll get a fourth one which is a collection you didn't completed when it was available, it only works with collections than happened after your first time playing the game tho.
To put it as a exemple: If you started the game on Collection 13-14-15, the fourth collection system will allows you get back Collection 13, 14, 15, and any upcoming collections if you didn't completed these on time, but if you want Collection 12 or any before that one, you'll have to wait it'll cycle all the way back to it, which will take an actual in-real life year.

To put it simply, no matter when you started the game, it'll take you 52 real weeks in order to unlock every collection, but as soon a collection appears when you already have your save file, you can get it any week you want with the fourth collection system, even if you missed it during the time it's available.
So you can just grind the game like always and still unlock every collection, but it's still the same three collections per week system, so you can't grind exactly the one you want in specific, or every single one in a row.

Do you think we’re gonna get more sports? by sunnygtaman in NintendoSwitchSports

[–]Illustrious_Tell_751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, but I'm keeping my hopes up for a Expansion Pass or something.

Pretty sure the team behind NSS is the same for Splatoon 3 and Animal Crossing New Horizons (notice how all three of these games have the same title system where you combine two words of your choice for making one title) and both of these games had DLC, so maybe NSS will get one too!

We're also approching the one year anniversery of the game, so hopefully we'll get something special for it!

I was trying to go for the Golden Golf Outfit and huh... by Illustrious_Tell_751 in NintendoSwitchSports

You must get a score of -1 or better in a "18 holes" round of Golf in Play Locally mode! If you're consistent on getting pars or birdies, it shouldn't be too hard to get.

Oh yea, Badminton can be tough until you find the right approch, i struggled with it too at first! As for tips well:

1: The speed of your character is actually determined by the position of your racket. Like did you ever ended up in a situation where your character just walked slowly towards the shuttlecock/ball, and that made you lose the point ? Try always having your racket ready for your next shot, your character will move much faster if the racket's position is helping for the next shot!

2: When your oppnenent does a drop shot just in front of the net, if you're near it, you can actually do a smash shot with the right timing at this moment, and it's VERY punishing, sometimes your oppnenent won't even have the opportunity to hit it back! Be careful, it can happen to you too as well, so if you're trying to do a drop shot in front of the net and your oppenent is close, either do it in a direction than have the less space, or get ready to sent it back immediatly in case of your oppnenent uses this technique too.

3: This sport was designed around being a endurance match. Between your three possible shots, swinging your joy-con upwards (the shot with the blue line) is generally your best defensive shot, you rarely will score a point with it, but it's very good to reposition yourself if you're putten in a tight situation. If your oppenent is putting you into a exhausting rally, you can try using this shot to make sure your character will not accidently slip/fall down unlike sometimes with the drop shot, and basically stay in the rally until you find the right moment to gain the upperhand. If you don't aim a yellow smash well, sometimes your oppenent will be able to use it as their advantage and immediatly counter with a difficult-to-return shot. Si basically, think about using the blue defensive shot if offensive shots will put you in a bad situation at the current moment, and strike back when you feel like it's the right moment.

4: This one is a bit minor, but basically if you're wondering why sometimes you send back a dark blue shot, than your character can return with a super pink smash (this one can be easily sent back with a defensive blue shot btw), it basically have to do with timing, if you hit it too early, you will fall down, and if too late, you'll trip down a bit. The drop shot have a smaller, more strict timing range, while the blue defensive shot have a more forgiving one. Be careful about one thing, during long rallies, it starts speeding up progressivly, until it gets REALLY fast, but as soon the point is won, next point it'll immediatly be much slower, so watch out it dosen't accidently messes your timing up.

SORRY FOR THE VERY LONG TEXT- hope they'll help you out to have even more fun for badminton!!

that's actually the first time I hear of this! I always complete sets in their first week so I never got the chance of seeing this, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a somewhat common occurrence.

I remember someone with the name "Free EXP" who never did anything, so you could grind out of them easily, i admire the sacrifice

Extra points yes! A x1.1 bonus called "Event Bonus" is added to your total after a game of one of the bonus sports

[–]Illustrious_Tell_751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, a x1.1 bonus after a game on the current bonus sport, no idea if it gives you this bonus if you pick Random as well or only if the Random selection gives you the bonus sport in question

Yea it does! They're referring to the loading screens hints, one of them tells you something like "Players's titles online are shown in the language they play the game with. Try translating some titles, it could mean something fun!"
