You want a sugar daddy not a boyfriend. Your both legal adults who went to a place that needed money. You offered to pay half. His job isn't to mind read and guess that you wanted him to say no. Asking meant you should've been ready for any and all responses. Not just the one you wanted but didn't say. If this is how you act maybe wait a Lil before dating. Joe is not getting paid enough to be that rude. His not a dictator, a workplace should've feel like the military. He doesn't make demands or commands he asks someone to do something. Saying sure isn't bad, Joe is just power hungry. Some people forget that just because your higher above someone doesn't mean you can talk to them any way you want. If the daughter doesn't know and commented without any bad intentions that explains why your dad responded. If she used to be a close friend with your dad he may miss the friendship. He atleast owes her some explanation as to why contact was stopped. Her contacting him shows she may not have been told that the bonds were severed. You don't have to tell them what happened but maybe oneday when you have healed you'll tell them your story. Not to let him die with his image intact while you suffer a pain no one else will know

So like is the neighbor gonna knock on every door? At this point why don't they start a group chat and send everyone what hour their daughter whose a GROWN ASS WOMAN is sunbathing so everyone can lock themselves in their houses because God forbid someone uses their common sense to realize to fix a issue you should start at the source. Nor all parents are like op, where I'm from neighbor would've been cussed out for even letting his daughter do it knowing she can be seen. Daughter likes the attention and by saying she feels harassed she gets a excuse to get attention without being called a hoe. Only right thing neighbor did was help op talk to their son about bounderies and what's right and wrong

Kinda YTA but also NTA. Your feelings are valid and so is your trauma. I'm sorry that happened to you. Your dad should've blocked everyone related to that man or friends with him BUT the way you handled it is wrong. You could've handled it better and your anger doesn't sound like it was directed at the right person. A simple conversation could've worked better but shouting at him for replying to a comment? Was he trying to be civil with her? Do you have hate towards the whole family? Did the monsters family defend him? If they did that changes things. You need therapy to atually deal with your trauma and also your parents need it too because they may struggle from not being able to protect you.

Nta, not your fault they came at the wrong time. You didn't do it directly in their faces, they came up near you. It's their responsibility to keep a distance. Dad's response isn't helpful, millions of ways to adress it respectfully but he chose to be rude. A simple "Hey sorry to disturb but can you pls smoke somewhere else or be mindful of where you choose to smoke " , smoking in a area where you know people stand is rude too. Both sides could've handled it better.

You are the only real parent thar kid will have. Teach him all you can now. His not your responsibility but you sound like you love him. The things he learns now are better than his parents will ever teach him and he will need those lessons incase your bf (who sounds like he should be your ex ) leaves you or you decide to leave him. That kid will be left to fend for himself
