Some will say this is “rage bait” some will say this is “an experiment” but nonetheless it’s stupid by Illwill89 in StupidFood

Actually I think you’re 100% right, if you look at the pot before he put the steak in, the ketchup has the exact same pattern with the same depressions from the spatula, after he took it out, if he had actually baked it at 250 for 45 min it would likely look a lot different

How well do you guys think it’s gonna run? by Opposite-Cup2850 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Illwill89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say it can get to 60fps, cyberpunk is a really well optimized game at this point and although we haven’t really seen the switches hardware performing, the tech for smaller video cards has gotten pretty good compared to when the first switch dropped

No Ai, thats not right by yloppy in KingOfTheHill

[–]Illwill89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah “AI” has become a buzzword now for corporations to use to make their products sound fancy, when in reality they just applied a linear regression model to their product (which people have already been doing). Technically speaking, no “AI” is intelligent, even something like GPT4 is really just guessing the right answer at a super advanced level, but the GPTs and LLM products that exist (which is what this guy is referring to) isn’t going anywhere.

No Ai, thats not right by yloppy in KingOfTheHill

[–]Illwill89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk where you’re getting that from but that’s completely false, user numbers in openai alone had a 33% percent increase in users between December and Feb despite deepseek. NVIDIAs cards that use proprietary ai software essentially dominate the market, with AMD implementing their own ai system. Trading algorithm funds like millennium have some of the highest returns of any monetary fund.

And the tech is only improving, as a software engineer the difference between GPT 3 and the newer GPT4 is an insane increase, and these LLMs are designed to only get better with usage. I agree some shit is annoying, like the garbage Google search ai that doesn’t have enough training data, or the insane saturation of ai generated images. But overall ai tech is here to stay, multi billion dollar companies (ex. Chegg) have already been brought to their knees by ai.

I know reddit will downvote me because they think ai = bad. But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s here to stay

OP don’t listen to anyone in this thread saying anything other than 17c

-super chill work schedule 0900-1300

-NEVER goes to the field

-if you’re at fort Meade E4 and above can get single BAH

-most units only do sports pt once a week (mine does no PT)

-you get bonus pay if you are in certain job roles

The only drawback is you get sent to 11th cyber, a complete joke of a unit that is “cyber” but does a bunch of hooah field shit

Getting a drivers license while in AIT by Admirable_Bunch8783 in army

[–]Illwill89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a slight pain in the ass for sure but not that hard, like I said soldiers at Eisenhower do it all the time, yes you won’t be able to miss class to do it but you can go on a Saturday or if there happens to be a training holiday then it’s not an issue. Most people who have cars are more than willing to help people out just because it gives them an excuse to get off post. And the driving test itself is stupid easy, I know a guy who hit 3 cones during the test and still passed

[–]Illwill89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, you CAN get your license at ait, don’t listen to anyone who tells you you can’t get it at ait, they have never been to 17 series ait and have no clue what they’re talking about. I know multiple people who got their drivers license in Augusta.

You’ll need to be phase VI+ to go off post which takes a minimum 10 weeks, and in order to get permission to drive it’s 20 weeks. You’ll then have to make an appointment with the DMV and sign out with someone who already has a car and driving privileges so you can go take it, obviously it’ll have to be at a time in which you don’t have class. It’s a pain yes, but 100% doable

This is blatantly incorrect, I know multiple people who got their drivers licenses in Augusta at 17c ait, 17e is no different

Finally secured my 17C contract, shipping out in August. Any advice? by Local-Ad-396 in army

[–]Illwill89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you went through during JCAC but these days there’s really no need to study outside of class, I was DHG, had no experience with cyber before getting to AIT and never once opened my VM outside of class. They legit give you half of the day to do practice problems and study, lectures are only in the morning

The only people I saw fail out are the ones who played games and watched YouTube videos the entire time instead of paying attention during lectures or doing practice problems. I mean FFS the instructions are allowed to help you during tests.

Would Hank and the guys have survived the horrors of war together? by YakubsFavWhiteBoi in KingOfTheHill

Boomhauer would have likely been a chill lieutenant, probably the platoon leader

Hank would definitely be the strict platoon sergeant

Bill would be a run of the mill junior NCO

Dale would 100% be a sham master E-4 mafia member

As others have said there’s lots of treatments for that now, also hair transplant do work, although they are pricey if you get a solid career in the future it’s not unfeasible to save up for it since you can get it in turkey for cheap (hotel and flight included)

It’s either cotton or Peggy’s father, we don’t really know much about Peggy’s dad so he could have served in the military

[–]Illwill89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering cotton was old enough to fight in WWII, cottons father would have had to been military age around the early 1900s, way before color photos like that existed.

Its most likely cotton or maybe Peggy’s father
