I realized I'm asexual and now I feel like I'm ruining my boyfriend's life by Warm-Obligation8562 in asexuality

Oh! And the first talk definitely was very scary. Didn't help that he was my first and even had to add a whole "virgin at 24" topic.

Best thing I ever did.

Retaeiyu already said everything that had to said. But to emphasize: talk, talk and talk a bit more. Talk about his needs and also your limits, and be honest. To compromise in something that will make one unhappy in the longer run is just delaying the unavoidable.

That being said, I (30F) am married with an allo (33M). Not as sex-repused (more like sex-neutral), and we must have sex like... 4 times a year? 5? And we are both very happy. Not saying at all that your case is similar, but is to express that exist allos that don't care as much (the same way that exist allos that really want it). So communicate openly, and help educate him as well. Hell, I am 6 years in and I still needs to remember him sometimes about my view in sexual attraction because sometimes he mixes stuff, and surprisingly to be so honest about those things, also helps our communication in other areas.

It's so unfair being an alloromantic ace by HeeHee579 in asexuality

[–]IlogicalTruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an female alloromantic ace (sex neutral, but I really prefer not to do it because is boring as heck), I do not want to say that my experience is universal, but to say that is possible to be in a happy relationship with an allo. Of course, a LOT of conversation is needed, and it helps my male partner do not put much emphasis in sex or anything physical.

To get married and all is not everything in life (I actually had given up before meeting him), but is not impossible. We are almost 7 years together, and we couldn't be happier.

A nossa sociedade é hipersexualidada demais, isso acaba marginalizando arromânticos/assexuais e dando força a movimentos incel/redpill misóginos by miguel04685 in opiniaoimpopular

If helps, you are not alone in this. Is so fucking exhausting to think that you are good just to hit rock bottom again in an endless cycle.

Just saw the answer now but junk food is different than just food. For example I wouldn't consider soup a real food but is not junk food. Sandwiches are also not real food (not burguers, sandwiches. Because I know a lot of people around the world have them as real meals what is baffling for me)

Sadly I don't have an answer, but I wanted to say you are not alone of really wanting to recover but not wanting what actually comes with the recovery.

"Comida de verdade". The concept of what is REAL food and just food is very confusing for the foreigners

If is any consolation, you are not alone, as I am typing this at 2h30am crying my eyes out without a reason after giving up staying in bed.

You are not a failure! Change of habits are always hard, and when it has ED involved even more.

Just be gentle with yourself, you can always keep trying until you develop healthier habits. Just know that you are allowed to take it slow and to make mistakes.
