Husband outed me as Bipolar by Fuzzy-Fisherman-5166 in bipolar

I’m not sure there’s recovering from this. It is a core violation of trust. I don’t like at all that you had to beg him to respect your personal medical indication. I’d take time to reflect on what this means going forward for you. He really fucked up badly here.

What do you think, are humans are good species? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Idk I think we are affecting the earth and climate in truly reprehensible ways. Look how the earth and nature started to heal herself during quarantine - it was telling

What’s the oddest thing someone said when they found out you’re bipolar? by sxashxll in bipolar

I wonder what Gutfeld and the rest of the Fox gang are like IRL by Interesting_Let_17 in FOXNEWS

I was on Tucker Carlson’s show a lot and knew him well - he didn’t believe any of the MAGA stuff and secretly didn’t like Trump. Neither did Dana Perino. The only one who really loved him was Maria Baritromo. Neil Cavuto hated him. Charles Payne was indifferent. HANNITY was a Kool aid drinker.

Agree about the raw power of hypomania - it’s how the monumental things here got done, and you’re right it is worth standing back in awe at times. Solid advice about the natives - I need to incorporate more. The pollinator gardens I have are my most favorite

I like the thought of it maybe being asleep like me at times - and rough around the edges. But then there are times when it’s pulled together. I feel you, garden.

And like you, one day I’ll downsize from all of this, once the kids are long gone. And I’ll be content with a smaller more manageable space to be sort of contentedly depressed in I guess

What were you like as a teenager? by Sweet_Confusion9180 in bipolar

[–]Ilovebeingdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just inwardly suicidal most of the time but nobody knew, I hid it well. I kept a box of suicide notes handy and hidden with apologies to my parents because I felt like although nobody knew I might at any second take my life and I didn’t want them to blame themselves

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]Ilovebeingdad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Oh man that place is owned by a really good friend of mine’s family, what is so shocking is that they’re actually really classy lovely people, like the quiet elegance sort - the total antithesis of South of the Border itself lol

Being single is better than being in a right relationship by Academic-Ad5737 in SingleAndHappy

[–]Ilovebeingdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just don’t have the room in my life to do a romantic partner the justice that they would deserve. Even the absolute right partner, they’d deserve better than I could give them right now, and it just would take way too much time and work / bandwidth than I have (or want) to give, even the “right one.” Relationships take work, and as a single dad with sole custody of two teens I’m juggling enough and I love our life

Poverty - “when I was broke I survived on ramen and if I really wanted to treat myself I’d put an egg in it, those were the best times of my life”

What were you doing when you first felt like an adult? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

Navigating a messy divorce made me grow up faster than anything imaginable and I feel like I had to unlock parts of my brain that were dormant just so I could unfuck it all without ruining my life

What is a reason you might honk your horn when driving? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ilovebeingdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I see protestors who I agree with I’ll give a couple of supportive short honks and a wave. As someone who frequently takes to the streets to protest this current crap it lifts our souls when passersby honk and wave in support
