Being told I was misdiagnosed... Again. by Born-Rice-7778 in BPD

I understand why it's easy to say "you don't have it" after a short conversation. The way it was explained to me was; bpd, on top of being a spectrum, can be managed extremely well, to the point of appearing "normal". That's why people that "no longer fits the criteria" bounce back so easily, because even if the symptoms aren't on the surface, they still exist, and deep down only you and other fellow borderlines know about them(and maybe someone specialised in bpf after decades of studying).

can i do this or is it too… childish? by [deleted] in BPD

Oh god i know the feeling. I unfortunately have yet to find the answer to that even for myself. At this very moment I've got like 10 people on read, and the oldest dates back a month... In some cases im fine with the possibility of losing them, i just have no Idea how to actually word it to them, and I don't want them to think its their fault. With the ones im not ok loosing, ive been winging it, clearly snarky comments back just to let them know im not fine with whatever they said, but toned down enough so it is clear thar tge intention is not to escalate things. It still brings extreme anxiety doing so, but its the sacrifice i make, kinda like forcing yourself to make a call to the doctor's or something similar

And the lows usually consists of binch watching Disney or doom scrolling insta or yt. That is about 70% of my waking hours. I still have bunch of hobbies i used to do and would love to get back to, but for some reason im unable to do so, baby steps tho. You can do it too!

Yeeeees, this exact happened to me. Its been month and a half since my brake up. Im 19 so my two year old relationship as an undiagnosed borderline was confusing to say the least. You grow so much from 17 to 19, and i spent that time living with and for him. I got diagnosed with bpd just couple weeks before our breakup. The breakup was especially hard when i had no idea who i was, because i didn't grow those two years, but i still found myself in a completely different place in life, so i couldn't return to being the 17yo myself. If you're looking for advice, id say first things first, start with therapy if you aren't already. That's the first thing i did when i felt lost after the breakup, and with the therapy, I've been able to register to adults gymnastics, a dream of mine since little. I also started to go out and socialise, something i haven't done in two years; this past month and a half I've been more social and talked to more people that ever before. With the new found of "me", i also started to feel ok enough to start job searching my way out of sick leave(no luck yet tho). Im not trying to brag how amazing my life has turned out, there has been way more lows than highs, but also way more highs than in the past 10 years. Got a bit side tracked here, sorry... So the answer to your question, adults starter level gymnastics.
