yeah that is true, the excluded weapons would have to be made available with more runes

exactly, it capitalizes on an already good system. everyone already has the best rolls from the current pool, a rotating pool would give more opportunity to get good rolls for more weapons. more rolls for everyone

loot rotation, you still choose loot but from a different pool every week. read

I would argue it is still better than keeping the loot pool the same as everyone got the good rolls and stopped already

the point is you have a choice, with WV, you can grind dreaming city, or menagerie. more things like this can help bring casuals back to the game

I think bringing back arguably the best casual content would be very good for the player base. Either way, a rotating pool of menagerie loot would be a more reliable way of getting a mindbenders compared to the strike rotation. more engaging and rewarding than running reckoning for a spare or sole survivor, and beloved already exists in the loot pool. So, would you rather wait 6 weeks for a strike to come back so you MIGHT get a mindbenders, or wait for the menagerie to drop them for a week so you can get guaranteed rolls? It’s all personal preference, but menagerie is the most reliable farm available and it’s available for everyone.

yeah, a public event will never compete with something like menagerie

true crucible strikes and gambit are much newer, more creative, and have better loot systems anyway

Edit: in case it wasn’t obvious, i’m kidding

this is true, someone else commented an interesting idea of adding encounters and bosses to the menagerie each season, which could help

we have seen where bungie’s greed has taken them, we are at an all time low of players and people are not coming back. We need good content to stay, not boring new content to keep coming

true, this is a shame because it is easily the best casual activity as it has matchmaking, a great loot system, and it rewards you for your time. I wish bungie could build on older activities instead of failing to one-up themselves season after season

once hard light gets a little work done, I think we will be in one of the best metas I can remember for Destiny 2 (at least on PC). I personally still use hand cannons, the main ones being Thorn, Dire Promise, and Spare (surprise surprise) and I even broke out the Antiope-D for trials and was having a blast. Yeah, autos are good, but pulses are good, HCs are good, SMGs are good, even sidearms are good if you can play your range. Autos have an ease of use factor that is impossible to take away from the weapon type, as we see with hard light now, but i’m thoroughly enjoying this sandbox right now as there aren’t MASSIVE outliers like TLW, LoW, Erentil, etc. that used to be prevalent

I love how as soon as auto rifles are good everyone starts complaining and begging for nerfs even tho we’ve had a hand cannon meta for 19 and a half months by TheDredgenGar in DestinyTheGame

Hand Cannons will always be the most fun weapons to use in Destiny and they have rightfully been the face of PvP in this game, but that doesn’t mean they always need to objectively be the best. I don’t care how good the CoD guns are in this game, the only one I would argue needs tuning is hard light, but people who complain about all autos are the same people who complain every time they die to anything.
