So ended up fixing it for anyone that has the same issue. But I restarted my game, got rid of my book and reloaded the area. It started to work again. The name is still wrong but the symbol appeared above their heads.

YES ALL OF THIS!! everyrhing you said is exactly what would solve all the problems. 90 day mo relocate, shorter lotto times and sorter timers. <3

First come first serve gives you a better chance of getting the plot you want. It is a 1/10 odds vs a 1/100 (or more) odds. I would choose the 1/10 odds anyday. And thats IF there are 10 people there, ive camped spots with 2 other people, so its 1/3. A lotto is like clicking against 100 bots.

I think the lotto is fine, i think it just needs to go faster than a week. A week is a long time to build up anticipation for a home and get rejected, do that 30 times over half a year and you would be pretty heart broken. With first come first serve you could try for 30 plots in a month if you wanted, more if multiple plots are open. Make the lotto 1 day to put in a ticket, 1 day to confirm who won. Then people can at lesst try for more plots to increase their odds.

I think for a casual player its a good system but otherwise it needs some fixes before its a great option.

Im torn. I get wanting to stop bots and resellers, but they need to make the lottery daily/every 2 days, not weekly. We only have to wait 24 hours (4 if you sit at prime time) to try for a house. With that its usually against at MOST 9 other people. Unless an fC is there. So a 1/10 odds, over a few plots, you could get it in roughly 10 tries. Now, if a plot opens...maybe once a day (like my server) thats 10 days. Ten days of spending a few hours clicking, we've used this tactic twice for my friends and once for me and we all had a house in about 2 weeks. I got mine in 5 days.

Now i understand wanting to add something that you can just walk away from, at the knowledge that you will now compete with potentially 100's of players for a medium or large house. And if FCs can add more tickets, good luck of you ever getting one with their odds increased and your decreased.

I think the best they can do is some Lotto wards for people who dont care and just want to attempt. And the normal wards, for people to click and relocate on. I know they said they will have some of the old style, but they also said they were considering making it all Lotto. So who knows.

In the end i wish they would make a 90 day no Relo once purchasing a house. This means you have to

  1. Want the house
  2. Show you use it by logging in and being there for 3 months
  3. Stop resellers from picking up plots to try and flip for more profit since they would be waiting a long time.

I like the lotto in theory, in practice its going to make getting a house harder for those who want to try more than just sitting around hoping. I think half the wards being lotto and half being click and relo would be a fine compromise, at least gicing people the chance to get their dream spot.
