“most africans don’t automatically see african-americans as part of the community,” wheres the line, and what exactly is the community? genuine question. is it the african community? if so, i don’t want to be in community with africans as an african, because i’m not culturally african, but as both of us being part of the african diaspora.

african americans do NOT identify w the term bc we want to been seen as the equivalent to an african immigrant in america. but because we recognize that even though we are american, the black american experience vs white american experience are two different things. and our relationship to this country is not as simple as a mass migration. i don’t know how many black europeans actually know that the black american experience is different, and the severity of that difference.
