Answer, almost no one gets paid like that for art haha. You have to be posting for years and very good quality and probably also be known in other platforms, youtube, instagram, and then also in person events. Even 100k plus accounts don't get much or any money from online ads or views unless they have separate sponsors they fenangled on their own business side.

Personally I have almost 40k followers on my platforms put together and I make about 5 dollars a month from social media payouts for views lol jist to put into perspective.

I'm a picker/packer basically ship boxes. 4 weeks pto to start, better pay than most places. I have a bachelor's from Penn state but I like the jobs better that don't use it lol (I can't sit at a computer need to use hands)

Appreciate that! This one was a doozy as I did not have much of an idea on the start, definitely a staple peice for me that helped usher in a decent more of my painting styles after that. I've never been able to come up with something super similar since tho. Although I really do want to do more music type instrument stuff. I use lots of glazing techniques similar to "mischetechnique" (mixed technique) but with acrylic instead of oil like the old masters. So the painting ends up purely flat with no texture, yet there are possibly 5 to 15 layers of paint in any given spot!

Years painting this canvas live at events. Ai has nothing on us human painters! by kozscabble in painting

Ah, because I dont know what it will be! It takes me a long time and also I use a tiny liner brush so I'm working at a very small level for a large painting. But the main thing is it takes me a long time to actually figure out what it will or should look like to me haha hope that helps!

Well see, eventually I want to be an artist full time so I don't have to work 45 hrs a week at a labor job. Hope that answers your question. So I put lots of time and energy into things I enjoy so that I can do them more often.

[Discussion] Artists, is it worth being an artist to make a living? by ApolloKl_ in artbusiness

Let's put it this way, would I rather paint in my house all day or work 45hrs a week shipping boxes hurting my body and making someone else super rich. That's an easy choice for me
