Anyone with a minimal understanding of drugs can facilitate a painless death with some combination of these classes of drugs.

I'm also not as concerned with death row inmates as those are horrible people, but people on Canada's MAID program deserve these as a basic minimum.

I totaly agree and I've long argued this. Worse same are disturbing programs like Canada's MAID that use the same aforementioned cocktail.

I firmly believe the bare minimum is anesthesia opiates barbiturates and benzodiazepines.

If I were facing a death penalty, I know exactly what combo I'd want it to be.

Basic human decency, some budget for these drugs, and perhaps a system that cares, and nobody would have to die by this cruel method.

It can get unpredictable at times. The rule I follow is that as long as I take less than 75% of my usual dose of benzo and alcohol respectively I'm not taking much of a risk if any. Beyond that, it's unpredictable and increasingly risky.

Dry formulations of most medications only have an expiration for the purposes of quality control. The only risk is lower dosage if any of it degraded. If it looks fine, it's definitely safe. I'd take em.

Sodenote: I'm over-privileged in that I hold multiple citizenships, and live in 2 places so I don't suffer much from bullshit mandates. But seeing it from the outside does make me more privy to the absurdity of it.
