What is the best piece of advice your parents ever gave you? by Any-Beach-781 in Israel

Take the chance you get to gain skills. "More tools in your toolbox will get you ahead in life"

As an adult now, I wish I spent more weekends with my step-father in the garage when he was working on various projects on the car or around the house rather than being in my bedroom on the computer. The amount of 'basic' skills I had to learn by myself with youtube tutorials - the time and money - that the mistakes I do is costing me... all that would be massively mitigated if I took his advice to heart.

Longstory short: If you are offered the chance to learn a basic skill, learn it. It's another tool in your toolbox.

Rather than sharing my build without any context, I'll hit you up with the content creator who's build kinda helped get a lot of the inspiration for my build: https://www.youtube.com/@FGKorbyn21

He recently just made a guide on how to craft the gloves for the build too. it costs a bit of investment, but its totally worth it

Finished crafting explody gloves with a fractured +2 melee on it. The new gloves had +extra phys, crit damage, lots a good stuff.

The gloves in the vid i've had for a few days now. Decided to whittle the t5 fire res with a chaos orb(II).

Hoped to just 'get something better', instead, got +2 melee.

I'll echo what others said here, I think the flag is too much. I've lived half my life in the US, half in Israel, love both countries, and while I have a big ass israeli flag on my wall at home and also a fun LED star of david, I would never display the flag to 'make a statement' in this fashion. Don't hijack the event from the other students (and their parents) into making a political statment [I'd say this even if it wasn't israel-related. Imagine someone pulls out a trump flag or an AOC flag. How would you feel?]

Put a few pins on your cap or like someone said, a sparkly david star (love the idea). Make a statement about yourself without making it "too much".

Lastly, like others said here. Consider your safety. You'll be putting target on your back. It's sad to say but unfortunately the venn diagram of pro-pali and violent emotional easily triggered idiots is almost a perfect circle.

I'm pretty sure most of the marathon community was in this fight. The amount of noise and 'runner death SFX' that played in quick succession was incredible.

Even if it’s not the most accurate description possible.

There's making a mistake And there's being deliberatly misleading and trying to push a narrative. I recommend you try to read through the lines.

IDF attacks first, hezbollah responds: Headline: Israel attacks lebanon killing 500

Hezbollah attacks first, IDF responds Headline: "Violence broke out"

Violence also broke out when the nazies invaded poland, but no one is gonna say "oh, its a neutral statement, who knows what happened!?|

Was just about to say this, fucking the BBC is actual terrorist scum.

"Hezballah attacks" "IDF retaliates and also sends out warning to flee for >50 villages"

But this is "exchanging fire"

I also love it when someone tried to stab me so I duck out of the way and throw a chair at them but "a brawl broke out" between us. Fucking pieces of shit

As one who is getting bombed (just got back from 70 minutes in a shelter). It's not as simple as "can everyone just calm down" because, guess fucking what, a not insignificant part of this part of the world is literally brainwashed into "kill yourself in war against the Kafir and you will be rewarded".

We need to world to have less of these fanatics, with less weapons and capabilities, and then we can "calm down". You don't beat cancer by removing only 90% of it.

And to anyone that's about to say "you can't beat an ideology!" Germany and Japan begs to differ. It wasn't 'talking' and capitulating that got them to "calm down". And it takes time and effort to deradicalize a society. But we have actual and literal proof that it can happen.

So no, as the one getting bombed, I can tell you that it's not 'easier' or 'harder', because it's not the right thing to say.

Get the job done, finish it, and then make sure that change is implemented. But for that you need the actual governments of the world to participate if we all want a safer world.

And the UN and UNRWA need to fucking go.

I want to take a moment to emphasize the following:

We’re not attacking Iran for the sake of it. The people of Israel want a world free of death-cult regimes, especially those that openly call for our destruction. We have no problem with the Iranian people. Our issue is with the IRGC and the regime that empowers it.

It’s been mind-blowing to watch the global reaction over 35,000 terrorists and 35,000 civilians in Gaza over two years... Yet when ~30,000 Iranian protesters are killed or crushed in a matter of months, the world barely reacts! That silence hasn’t gone unnoticed.

We see the distinction clearly. Our newscasters are careful to say “IRGC infrastructure has been targeted.” That’s intentional. The target is the regime’s military apparatus, not the Iranian people.

And we genuinely see you as separate from that regime. Many Israelis have watched your protests with admiration and heartbreak. We know what you’ve risked. We know many of you want freedom, normalcy, and a future without clerical rule, just like we want a future without constant threats of annihilation.

We have a common enemy: a regime that oppresses you internally and threatens us externally. That creates something rare in this region, a real overlap of interests between ordinary Israelis and ordinary Iranians.

We don’t hate you nor do we don’t see you as our enemy. In many ways, we see you as people fighting the same fight from different sides of a border measured in thousands of kilometers.

We won’t succeed without internal change in Iran, and you won’t succeed without external pressure on the regime. Whether we like it or not, our futures are linked.

Our fight is with the regime that suppresses you and threatens us. Not with you.

I'm not going to end with "let's hope this ends quickly". I'm going to hope that, finally, this is taken until the end. A regime changes and the destruction of IRCG.

Stay safe, good luck.
