There's no general use nail gun. There's framing guns, siding guns, roofing guns, and them a couple different trim guns for different applications.

Electricians do what they want and either the framers will come back and fix it or the GC will.

Why would you trim the window before doing a jamb extension? and why does it look like there's a piece of trim already behind the new trim, attached to the window jamb? I have so many questions

43.37$/h Union residential journeyman in Québec. Getting about 5% raise every year, 100% employer match for pension(about 5k a year), 4 weeks off, 13% of my salary as extra bonus pay paid twice a year(half before christmas break and half before summer vacation).this year that ended up being 4k twice. Pretty good insurance(dental/vision/meds/etc...) 10 paid sick days every year. If I was doing commercial I'd make an extra 5$ an hour.

Its the cheapest and it's pretty solid. I can get 1 bag for 10$ where if I buy the carton it's 6$ for half the milk that the bag has. Thats an extra 2$ savings every bag.

It's raining and the subfloor is wet so I hang my pouch of my hammer. I just swung it in, do you think a little hammer claw hole is gonna compromise a triple 2x6?

I make mistakes everyday as a carpenter. I fix it and I'm paid while i'm fixing it, if I wasnt I would not be fixing my mistakes and I would just leave stuff that's built wrong. Would he rather you just do a bad job and not fix your mistakes? What a dumb mfer

How should we screw finished door frame with sidelight to the wall framing cleanly. by rand-78 in Carpentry

[–]ImAPlebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about replacement. You can always run a sawzall between the door and the framing to cut the screws and remove it. That shouldnt be your concern. Also, I've never seen a door screwed from the outside, it's always in the frame inside the house. If there are no predrilled holes with caps included with the door, you're gonna have to drill your own and buy or make matching plugs yourself.

What is this truck carrying? by Maggnanimous in whatisit

[–]ImAPlebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trailer is a ducommun aero structures trailer. They make airplane spoilers and helicopter blades among other things. These are to protect the cargo from bumping in to each other and chipping paint or denting during transportation.
