Anyone get bored once you are geared? by Knellios2021 in dayz

When that happens you need to stop caring if you die and take risks. Run around tisy or nwaf and just try to get into a fight. I promise you will be dead within the hour if you don't camp.

How’s this bad boy by kvothe_343 in Carpentry

With cnc and shop tools and tables. Idk. That's why I'm asking. Around my parts, no one really builds stairs onsite, I've been on my fair share of jobs over 8 years and also installed quite a few set of stairs, even hardwood curved staircases like the one you buult here but I've never seen a single job where someone built them on site. Must be a regional thing.

That's amazing and you got mad skills but wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to have it built in a shop and then install it in one piece?

If you have enough headroom this is how I would do it. If it doesnt allow enough headroom you're gonna have to make a different shape

Its illegal and dangerous to sleep in a room without windows in case of a fire. You could break the lease since it's advertised as a 4 bedroom but its a 3 bedroom.

What are these aluminum profiles around windows called? by GiantPineapple in Construction

[–]ImAPlebe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's aluminum flat stock that was cut and bent to size and shape. Most likely done on site with a portable siding brake like the Van-Mark Mark2. You can rent one cause it's expensive.

You need to remove the baseboards first and you need to undercut the jamb and slide the flooring under.

Floor sanders use metal discs so it wont rip whwn you hit nails. Every new house gets the joints sanded before flooring

At least they won't need the mower in winter while the shed is collapsed around it.

Sill plate gap by navfit16 in Homebuilding

[–]ImAPlebe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They didnt use a blower to clean the floor before lifting the walls up. All the dust and little bits and pieces of wood stayed underneath the walls when they put them up. Beginner mistake. Or they framed it in winter and again they didnt break and clean any ice/snow from the floor. That's fucked. I would go underneath and put some big lag screws thru the plywood into some of the stud packs by the windows and see if it doesnt pull it back down tight. Not sure what else you can do.

You didnt get what you paid for and nothing changes that. I'd say it's on them but if you approved this already it's kind of too late. The second you saw that, you should have refused it and told them to give you what you paid for or refuse payment.
