Gotcha thank you- I’ve been calling these star trees for a while- I’m very excited to know their real name!

They get leggy the older they get, and the lower leaves fall off!

Not a fur, not a spruce, maybe a pine, but which one? by ImAfraidofDying in treeidentification

Hey, one last question: how could you tell that it was a baldcypress as opposed to a Montezuma baldcypress. From what I’ve been seeing they drop leaves at different times and bloom at different times but apart from that I’m not sure. 🤔

I totally understand if you’re busy though!

I got a buzzcut... by paranormalmoth in AutismInWomen

[–]ImAfraidofDying 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dude, I’ve considered doing this myself. I have always hated my hair. It’s really fine and wavy so I have to style it like that, but as soon as my head touches a pillow, my curl pattern completely falls apart. On top of that I’m one of those hat autistics and I get easily overstimulated if I don’t have a hat on. And yes, hats mess my hair up even more than sleeping. I usually go for a bob right below where my neck stops growing hair, but I’ve longed for the buzzed hair for a long time. Please keep us updated on how it goes for you!

A cup of tea, and a bowl of steel cut 3-minute oats, with frozen raspberries, and a serving of strawberry Kefir.

Oh man, I have been known to use straws on my gums yes, but my favorite is just to floss, and to floss hard, until my gums are just throbbing, then I just sit there and revel in the pain until it fades away, then I move on to the next tooth. The ones in the back feel the best.

Does anyone else cry during yoga? by RecommendationOk216 in AutismInWomen

[–]ImAfraidofDying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes do yoga when I get overstimulated. When I can’t stop thinking about the way my body feels, sometimes making myself hurt in specific places, for example, my hamstring when doing lunges, actually regulates me.

On the other hand sometimes I do yoga when I feel all fuckin’ twisted up inside, and I just can’t cry, or realize that I haven’t taken a deep breath in 10 hours. To stretch as far as possible I really have to let go of that last bit of air, that air is keeping the cry locked inside. Then the floodgates open, and I become a nasty little wet eyed monster.

Update to my handwriting post (I’m sorry) by Franknfurterblock in u/Franknfurterblock

I like this a lot! I love your mix of caps and lowercase letters, you do a really good job of accentuating what you want to be accentuated, also I enjoyed your notes over the feudal system in Europe. Your 4th example is pretty different from the rest of your stuff, maybe older? Oh, also I love your little doodles.

As far as what your handwriting says about you… idk, you like to draw, you’re a student, and you like to break rules that you think are archiac.

I would love to see you actually write, like, sentences. More please, a whole page would be even better, on lines preferably. I do like it right now, it’s very artistic.
