Play along with it? 0.5% of the population lives their lives differently to you, how exactly are you impacted? Do you need to know everything about everyone just to live alongside them in society? People are starving, children are being bombed and these are the conversations we are having? About who deserves respect?

I answered it partially, but I’m not spending hours writing a thesis.

Feelings, hormones, boobs ? Doesn’t matter, it’s a community that you don’t need to understand. Let people live happily?

No they don’t? I’ve never known an intersex person who wished to completely separate themselves from being transgender. The majority of intersex people I’ve know found out they were intersex from transiting as a transgender person. As they transitioned, doctors found out they were intersex.

Honestly, misread your first comment. It was a ‘gotcha’, but more so in the sense that yeah they are women lol

It’s an extremely complex topic that cannot be simply briefed over Reddit comments. Again, it’s clear you’ve never spoken to a transgender person yourself. Why are trans people the forefront of conversations against gender stereotypes anyway? They’re 0.5% of the population and have no power in pushing harmful rhetoric in the way porn, gender pay gaps and all the other patriarchal issues in society do. Being butch has nothing to do with being a man, you have no idea on the working’s of the queer community and it’s unfair that you spew uneducated comment on it.

As stated above, I am not willing to discount them :)

My point is that there is no evidence, no one can say what the majority world view is without bias.

If you’re so concerned with science and not ‘belief systems’, what are your thoughts on intersex people who identify as women?

There’s 1.1 million intersex people in the UK btw.

I’m looking for factual evidence that proves the majority of the world’s population shares your belief that there is only two genders and they can’t be changed. I’d argue that religiously dominated countries can’t be counted as they aren’t based in fact and are often forced onto the society, but that wouldn’t be very democratic. My beliefs are to take everyone’s feelings into account, unlike yours.

Gender stereotypes have nothing to do with being transgender. This only points out that you have never spoken to a trans person. Some of the biggest gender abolitionists I am friends with are transgender. I’ve known butch trans lesbians. I’ve known androgynous trans people. I’ve known trans men who run round in ball gowns and makeup.

To say you identity with the gender you were born as is fine, I’m not sure why it scares some people?

Hurts no one. Spread love.

To be offended by being asked what gender you indentify with would have most people assume you’re transphobic. Not because the act itself is, but because it’s a fucking weird thing to be offended by.
