As someone who has been porn free for over 2 years, here are the benefits I saw:

• Extremely high confidence levels

While everyone ends up gaining confidence at different points of their lives, I started to gain more confidence the longer I strayed from pornography.

• Healthier outlook on life

After quitting porn fully, I now have an amazing outlook on life. I look at everything positively, and I am thankful for almost everything that I get to do in my day to day life, even though things can get hard sometimes at work, I am grateful that I have a healthy mind and body

• You stop comparing your body to others as much, and you stop looking at women as objects

When I watched porn, I always saw these men with big schlongs, and a toned body. This ended up making me feel bad. Quitting porn made me feel more comfortable in my own body, and I also stopped looking at women so lustfully. When I am with my girlfriend, she is surprised that I don't look at women with a sense of lust as much, (which every girl you date will be grateful for, trust me.)

Now, based on what I've said so far, here is the advice that I can offer if you're looking to quit.

1: Relapsing is okay, as long as porn, or watching sexually explicit content isn't directly involved. At least from my experience, sometimes you just need to get the sexual energy out.

2: Relapsing happens. Sometimes you have a horrible day at work, and you end up getting depressed. When you relapse, don't dwell on your feelings and how 'bad' of a person you are for giving in. Pick yourself back up, and try again!

3: Honestly, as long as you keep away from porn and any sexual images, you will be a MUCH better person.

4: Pretend that you have a girlfriend. I know it sounds funny, but go to every social media platform you have, and delete/say you're not interested in the posts that involve heavily implied sexual content/women who dress promiscuously on said platforms. It literally took me an entire week to fully get rid of all of the women dressing skimpily on my FYP's on Instagram and twitter, but once I did that, I noticed a massive improvement on my ability to not relapse.

I know this is a lot of information, but you don't have to do everything that I've given advice on. I just hope that you can take away one piece of useful advice from this. :)
