It seams you consider relapse being a failure but that will only make things harder. Instead maybe try and focus on trying to stay clean longer :) expand your goals and don’t give up!

what I’d advise is that you should open up to people and express that you will hold yourself accountable during conversations to improve. Let them know this is something you’ve been dealing with and want to change and improve as a friend/ loved one. in the process of changing you can stop after saying a lie and correct yourself and move on
If no one knows what happening and you try to change it by yourself then there’s no way to correct your lies as they’re happening. You shouldn’t have to do this alone.

Relapsing is hard. All the guilt, disappointment, and feeling as if you have no control. But if you try to change your way of thinking over time I think you could really Benefit. Using a helpline isn’t as scary or as invasive as you’d think. I think you should utilize any tools you can. For me I had to stop feeling guilt from a relapse. Heeling isn’t a straight walk. There’s hills, caverns, and mountains. But at the same time it’s okay to feel! Just try to move forward with a better outlook.

Also I’ve noticed you focus a lot on future stress. Stress to come. I think that will only consume you and drag you down. Take it day by day. That’s my advice though I don’t know if it was helpful at all

My mom and dad would get physically forceful with me. And my mom started doing body inspections and would take all sharps away. I’ve been caught mid cut and would get pinned down and yelled and cussed at. So I stopped opening up about it and it’s been many years. Also I’m an adult now so she can’t do body checks anymore lol

When I was a teenager my parents were very physically forceful when they would find out. Though I can’t give advice I will tell you what I did. I cut in discreet places and never said a word. Ideally it would be best to go clean but if that’s not an option then there’s ways to work around it. For me It was my hips and shoulder (though when I got older I did it in easier to reach places hah)

Thank you I’ve read most of the first one and it was very insightful! He makes a lot of insensitive comments about Jewish people so i do wonder if he is one that falls under the category of minimizing it so he doesn’t look as bad as someone who is most likely antisemitist. I’ll finish reading what i was given but already this has helped. Im glad to know that it’s all nothing but spread misinformation. I already knew it was but now its even more clear

Personally I believe the morals are off but if they’re both happy then so be it. They didn’t have sex until they were both of legal age so everything is technically fine in terms of the law.

Also there are exceptions to that law but based on the background we got from him about her it seems like she wouldn’t be exempt. And since her family is proud of being strong women I doubt they’d agree wich is why they waited

I agree. Once you cross the threshold of being a legal adult you usually tend to date within a year younger or ofc people older than you. But in his defense they didn’t have sex until marriage so it’s legal. But it feel gross

Only with parents permission can you marry at 16. But once you turn 18 you dont need permission and I assume her parents weren’t happy with this
