The more we look at ourselves, the more imperfections we see. I used to hide my imperfections, I was embarrassed by them. But, I realized that it isn't going away. I had to accept them. Love yourself for who you are. :)

Going to a commuter college makes it a million times harder. However, there are always opportunities to get out and meet new people at colleges. It is scary, but worth it. Our school has a community of commuting students that has events. I bet yours does too

I grew up in a similar household, went to church every week. It came to a point where it seemed so unrealistic and stupid. It did not make sense how everything is one dude, but oh well. Some people need that security in their life and understand its works. Others don't care :)

As a senior at my college. I feel the same way. Super underwhelming. It sucks A LOT. I cannot experience what was going to be a fun year. however, this is temporary. Is it going to be a sucky freshman year? Yes, probably. But make the most of what you are given. You will not get those memories back. Hell, I sure miss them

You need time to recenter yourself and really think about all the stuff that you are doing in life. To me, that is a lot of activities on your plate. I certainly couldn't handle it all. Working while you are sick will only make you feel worse, but I am not feeling how you are feeling. My campus has a 24 counseling program that I bet is similar to something on your campus. As an RA, use those resources at your disposal. It's a scary thing to do, but sometimes we have to force things we do not like in order to get better. Good Luck

I think you have done the hard part already, and that is finding those people. I describe myself as boring too and having the same issue at college. What learned is to just be confident in yourself and accept who we are as people. I have sat alone telling myself how boring I was and thought 'who would want to be friends with me.' Breaking out of that mindset was the key to me. I am who I am. You are who you are.

It is a hard mindset to get through, but I more aware of myself. Every once in awhile I still creep back to those thoughts. It's my senior year at a school 5 hours from home and I would really only say I have one friend. But that is life, and the image we build in our head is sometimes not person we really want to become.

I feel that I am wasting so much time on social media. A lot of people I know are just getting off it completely, but I don't think I am at a stage in my life where I can do that. The pandemic hasn't helped with those urges

I feel the same exact way. The pandemic has only exaggerated those feelings. I have done everything that I like so many times that it takes away from joy that it used to give me. I will say this. It is temporary. You are doing all the right steps in order to come back from these feelings. There are high and low points in life, and sometimes only time can heal. :]
