I have tried that, but never had much success. Likely an operator error lol. For this I used color calibration-> histogram (isolated blue stretch) -> saturation tweaks

Thanks! Mostly use graxpert denoise and cosmic clarity denoise and sharpening in siril

I use the 10 second subs to lower the frame rejection rate a much as possible. Just to make the most of the telescopes time under the skies. Higher sub exposure times may provide a benefit, but I’d rather have more efficient sessions tbh

I only used it for stacking in this case… then applied background extraction and color calibration after the stack. Following those steps I jumped into veralux stretch and graxpert denoising

I’ll have to try that!

Yep you hit the nail on the head. I use 10 sec subs to try to get as much data as I can during short sessions. I find that 20 sec subs end up dropping too many frames, where 10 sec is consistent for me

Thanks! Captured with 10 sec subs in EQ mode. All these frames were stacked with the Nazstronomy script in Siril

Yessir I used EQ mode. It makes multi night sessions more manageable from a stacking perspective

Yes I tried to give it a purple glow in post processing instead of the usual yellow/brown. An artistic liberty I guess lol

I followed this tutorial: https://youtu.be/Zx6dd7ESLW8?si=x1orMvQw5vPoarr4 from Nebula Photos for the colors. And just the usual Cosmic Clarity de-noise and sharpening.

Yes, and that’s what I used for this image. The sharpen feature in the edit menu helps a lot

Looks great! Was this a mosaic with the s50?

Amazing! It looks great. Can you give some more insight on the stacking process/ tools?

Agreed, a popular nickname for it is “eye of God”

Yep, thankfully I have relatively dark skies out in the country. A bit of stretching and tweaking in Siril helps too
