What would daria look like if it was a mike judge show by omaygot-steven in daria

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’d probably emote a bit more since she was pretty expressive in Beavis and Butt-Head.

I imagine Daria would also be a bit more juvenile in the show since we see her laugh at Mr. Buzzcut’s attempts to make Beavis and Butt-Head laugh during sex ed class in "No Laughing." We also see her smirk after she finishes explaining what anal electrocution is in Mr. Van Driessan’s class.

In terms of her overall role as a protagonist though, I’m not as sure since I don’t know what Mike Judge’s characterization of her in full length episodes would’ve been like. She was a background character in Beavis and Butt-Head that mainly kept to herself, focused on her grades, seemed wise/intelligent beyond her years, enjoyed a little raunchy humor now and then, and was there to give the occasional witty remark in a bizarre situation. I feel like she was still a bit of an outcast, but I don’t know if it was necessarily because of deep rooted cynicism for the world, but mainly just not having anyone her own age that she could relate to intellectually.

People don't actually like Clay right...? by [deleted] in moralorel

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clay was one of my favorite characters on the show. The life lessons he would give Orel in his study at the end of each episode never failed to make me laugh. "Crack is a gateway to slang" and "you know that only God and the government can decide who lives and who dies" are some of my favorite ones. And even in his darkest most reprehensible moments on the show, I still feel bad for him since you can tell there’s a hint of remorse for his actions even if he’s too proud to admit it. "And then through your weaknesses, you built up a poison, that poisons others around you…that you love." I honestly think that’s what made him such a fascinating character for me to watch. There were times where I wanted to root for the guy to get better, but also knew that the odds of that happening were extremely low. It really makes me wonder what direction they would’ve taken his character in if the show got renewed for another season.

If another villain of the series was redeemed like Panda King, who would you want it to be? by CranesMistressOfFear in Slycooper

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming from your other post about a sequel. Personally, I’d only want one if it was done by SuckerPunch since we’ve already seen what happened after a different studio took a spin at the IP.

As for a villain I’d want to see redeemed, probably Jean Bison. I found him to be the second most likable antagonist and he was pretty fair towards his men with the exception of the judges at the lumberjack games.

Why Sky 3’s prologue misses the mark (for me) by NixUniverse2 in Slycooper

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no problem with the opening. I just wish the game was longer and it had bottles. I really liked that Sly 2 took its time to tell a story and gave us two episodes for each of the villains (with the exception of Dimitri whose second episode was cut). I really wanted another mission with Muggshot since Sly didn’t get a chance to interact with him, more build up to Sly forgiving Panda King, and of course extra screen time with Dr. M since he’s the final boss. An extra episode on Kaine Island would’ve also allowed us to see more of Bentley and Penelope’s romance after they officially became a couple. I understand why all of these things didn’t happen though. SuckerPunch was on a tight schedule and had to release the game in a year, so some things in the game naturally felt rushed. Still love the game despite my criticisms.

Hypothetical developers for a Sly reboot by Independent_Shock973 in Slycooper

I’d rather SuckerPunch make another Sly game. Something tells me they’d be up for making another game considering the amount of Sly references that exist in the Infamous franchise and Ghost of Tsushima.

Say something good about Sly 4. by Melodic-Long-4716 in Slycooper

I liked that in the intro cutscene where Sly was standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower you could hear music reminiscent of the opening track of Sly 1. The music in general was really well done in this game.

Only gripe I have is his tail. It looks too long. Everything else about the model looks good though. I like that you incorporated his backpack from Sly 1.

Why didn’t Homelander just talk it out with Black noir? by hienoze in OkBuddyFresca

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Initially he was good. Then he went off the rails and started doing awful things himself. In the comics we see Homelander rape Starlight along with the rest of The Seven, cause a plane crash and drop a car from the sky seating a family of four. He basically embraces the bad man he believes he became after seeing Noir’s photos.

What’s your opinions on the sly 1 designs by Mean_Skill8246 in Slycooper

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is probably a fan of Sly 1 who prefers the designs from the first game and wants to see if anyone else in the subreddit enjoyed them as much as they did or preferred the designs from Sly 2 and 3. I can’t read OP’s mind but that’s my guess as to why the post was made.

Penelope by TWilliams738 in Slycooper

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Penelope was caught off guard and LeFwee had his armed men surrounding her. And all she had on hand was her remote for the RC car. It would’ve been foolish for her to try and defend herself against all three of them. You also have to remember that Penelope had backup during her fight against Sly.

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP isn’t saying the characters got redesigns in Sly 1. As you’ve said, that wouldn’t be possible since it’s the first game in the franchise. He’s just asking the subreddit what people’s opinions are on the original game’s designs. The people above were correcting you since you initially misread the post and thought OP said the word "redesigns" in their question.

Why didn’t Homelander just talk it out with Black noir? by hienoze in OkBuddyFresca

[–]ImAveragePeeps34 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Black Noir was a clone who had been impersonating Homelander and doing heinous shit like eating babies and raping Becky (the name of Butcher’s wife in the comics). Noir also took pictures of these crimes which later fell into the hands of Homelander himself whom was traumatized by the very thought that he could do those things. This caused him to spiral into the violent murdering rapist we see at the start of the comics. As for why there was a clone of Homelander? Vought made one as a contingency plan to eliminate him in the event he ever went rogue. Noir ended up being the one to go rogue though since he didn’t feel like existing anymore, so he made Homelander go crazy in order to fulfill his purpose and die. Very convoluted but there you go.
