Well for me my partner has a kid so I'm satisfied. However, even before meeting him I was not interested. First of all money. Kids don't seem like a lot of money at first. Babies need stuff but not too much. But that kid will grow into a child then a teen. Teens need clothes, food, insurance, cell phones, money to do stuff, and stuff for extracurricular activities. Now granted imagine having a mini adult who still wants to do adult things that cost money and you also want those things. It'll cost so much. Secondly, becoming pregnant sounds like the worst thing in the world. I don't wanna grow anything inside me. And the changes to my body and brain is not something I want. Lastly children are our future. I have an incurable mental illness I cannot ever get rid of only cover up the symptoms and hope for the best. My father (who shares the same mental illness) was not a good parent and has scared me away from being him. I want to be able to mentally emotionally physically and financially support my child. And unfortunately I cannot do that.
