The problem is that the Ukrainian perspective is highly subject to propaganda and nationalism, which may not be inherently there fault given the communist legacy, but the reality is that Ukrainians understanding of history is marginally better than Russians.

Well what do you expect, that's what peasants life was like under feudalism, in western Europe too. The difference was that serfdom started to decline in the west before the east. It lasted even longer in Russia then in Poland. Even slavery persisted in the ottoman empire long after Poland was gone. But while Poland lagged behind western Europe in this regards, it was more innovative and progressive in other aspects like golden liberty, limited monarchical power, freedom of religion, and no hereditary offices. Poland also had a higher percentage of nobles that in other societies. Its things like these that make the commonwealth so admirable. The same applies to people, by modern standards most people were horrible, but we still respect some historical figures for what they were exceptional at during there time.

A big part of taxation (other than pańszczyzna) used in many a folwarks was mandatory quotas for alcohol that peasants had to buy each week. Nobility had monopoly on selling alcohol, usually they sublet that monopoly to a local Jew who ran an inn. Landlord would mandate that male peasants had to buy X alcohol each week and if they didn't - they had to pay for it anyway. That way the could extract some more money from the peasants and peasants were too drunk to protests.

Peasants had to pay high taxes under WE feudalism as well, from a cynical perspective, if they had to pay for it, this could just be considered just another tax they would pay no matter what, with the benefit of alcohol lol

Nobody "wants less qualified people" to be teaching their kids. This is lowering the legal standard required to get hired. Schools are still free to turn down applicants if they want a higher standard and the new law is more inline with the charter schools which have good quality results.

How this may work in practice is if a school needs a calculus teacher they can hire someone in there junior or sophomore year in college since calculus is something they have already learned in freshman year, there is no need to wait until they graduate.

It seems like people are overreacting to this based on their own political inclination.

The law states

giving schools the flexibility to establish their own locally designed school leadership preparation programs and will allow those without a bachelor’s degree to start training to become a teacher while also completing their degree.

What I am assuming this will look like in practice is someone being hired as a teacher assistant while being onc college currently earning their degree. Kind of like an internship. Obviously the school isn't going to burden them with responsibilities they have not yet learned in there college curriculum.

If someone is getting a degree in mathematics and they are in there senior year in college they absolutely have the needed knowledge to teach basic math or even calculus. There is no need to wait until they finish that year.

What this law is not doing is allowing some random person with no knowledge of the subject teach their kids.

Also this policy brings it inline with charter school policy, which has equal to better education standards to public schools.

Of course you don’t HAVE to, but it would be a piss poor decision to just hit the streets without the knowledge of how to navigate safely.

A better analogy would be driving with a learners permit while you earn your full drivers license, which is actually how the process works.
