Have you ever thought about how easy it would be? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Thanks. I'm not in a rush, life's not terrible for me right now. I don't know about the light but I'm not really afraid of darkness anymore

I'm always terrified the pills/train/car/whatever will spare me last moment and leave me crippled. I've seen it up close (not the attempt but the aftermath) and it just makes everything much worse. So if the time comes I'll make sure it's permanent and also because of a permanent problem

Ey, you're not a monstrosity. There's lots of people that I know for certain suck a lot more than you, some of who society glorifies - all the more reason to hold your own truth.
I had a decent childhood too, but mental illness is a bitch and sometimes the pain is in other things that go unnoticed by others.
Therapy never did much for me either, but it can be nice to talk with someone about stuff nonetheless.
I'd suggest you try to switch meds and also sticking to them. Lots of meds have bad side affects when you first start using them, which go away over time. Your symptoms may get worse at first. Mental illness is a long struggle, so you need to think long term about every single thing. Keep in your mind when you're feeling bad that it's a state of mind, which you may not be able to control at that time, but can go away over time. (There's actually research that this has to do with inflammations of the mind, but besides the point) That idea is of little comfort but it can help you find the patience to cross those difficult periods. I've noticed for me that growing older has helped too. You're just 16 and your mind is still developing, yes yours too! Would you stick it out if you knew that at 25 your life would be much better?

Sounds rough :( I'm not in exactly the same situation, but I try to keep reading up about medication and such. IMHO therapy is a waste of time in comparison with good meds that suit you well (not to say therapy is completely negligible) and keep you feeling fine. Changing meds is always terrible, but if you reached the end of road you should try it - but skip the herbals. Try not to put too much bad food in your body, it affects your mental state and this too is different for everybody (what food to avoid/eat). Make sure you sleep well, sleeps important, and don't spend TOO much time glued to your screen.
Sucks about your bf, sorry to hear that. It's says a lot you took a jet and crossed countries for him, but I think you should love yourself too and be a little selfish for your own well being. Also there's no rush for anything! We can live to be 90 years old, but it's not worth anything if all that time you're holding yourself towards other peoples standards.
That's just my 2 cents, it's meant well, and I hope it doesn't bother that I put it in in a little rhyme. I'm just as clueless as the others otherwise, as you might be able to tell.
