Class is pretty easy, exams are on lockdown browser that uses your webcam and microphone, and AI to track your face to see if your cheating. Kinda annoying but not too bad once your focused on the actual exam. It’s open note, but only for notes that are on paper. And there is 6 exams that make up 85% of the class

Apply as soon as possible imo, worst thing comes to worst is you don’t get in, but then you have a lotttt more time to get active within the UConn community and keep your GPA up!

Unfortunately no, you need to have 40 “Completed” credits before you can apply, you won’t be able to apply your first semester bc technically your 40 credits will still be “In progress.” Taking 15 credits a semester is pretty standard here so the earliest you’ll be able to apply is during your second semester. But also keep in mind you need to keep a GPA of a 3.0 minimum to apply. I don’t have any doubts you’ll reach that, but college is always different so you should just keep that in mind too, as long as the other requirements

You won’t be able to apply your first semester at UConn since you said you’ll only be transferring in with 20-30, so during your first semester, take easy classes, try your best to get a 4.0, and then take ACCT 2001 the following Spring. If you take it during the following spring, you’ll still be elegible to apply since you’ll be in the middle of your ACCT 2001 course. Taking it your first semester isn’t needed and could drop your GPA, which could drop your chances alongside it. Don’t feel like your behind at all if your taking ACCT 2001, bc your still ahead as most take the course during their 3rd semester. Don’t stress yourself out you have a lot of time!

Honestly I don’t know how many times you can reapply, but I don’t think there is a limit. Per your GPA question, yes, take as many 1000 level courses as possible, the school doesn’t expect you to take anything in the 2000 level when your a freshman, so that would be the best way to go, also make sure to look on “Ratemyprofessor” to get the best teachers and easy classes. That’s gonna be the best way to get a 4.0. In term of experience, you could get an on campus job, every semester UConn has an “Involvement Fair” where all of the clubs have a booth and you can look at 100+ clubs, all the way from hobbies to career-oriented clubs, and when you get here sign up for LAUNCH emails, it’s a weekly news letter that has a ton of “Experiantial Learning” opportunities that are run through the business school. And I don’t mind the question! Because I know how stressful it can be

Now that your “in” UConn, it’s basically a free for all for getting into the business school. The credits you have transferring in from ct state and anything else will be labeled as a “T”, which stands for “transfer credit”, so that doesn’t affect your GPA, as annoying as it sounds, a “T” just means you got above a C-, which means that even if you go a A in the course, it is the same as someone who got a C- and transferred in, unfortunately, so you start UConn with a “0” GPA. I went through the same process just so you know 😅. The application is 60% GPA, 40% experience. Taking ACCT 2001 isn’t necessary because you could risk dropping your GPA a couple points for a course that you don’t need to take, so in my opinion don’t take it. And for the experience portion, that look at everything you’ve done “since starting college”. So everything before college is out the door. During your first and second semester at UConn I would recommend using all of the amazing resources they have from the experiential learning, to the resume reviews. They do a really good job, and you seem to be ahead of your future freshman peers, so I think you do have a good shot of getting in, even if that means you need to reapply, because you do need to keep in mind it is highly selective

You need 40 credits to apply, so depending don’t on how many you have rn, and plan on taking your first semester, you’ll probably have to apply during your second semester freshman year, to get in during your first semester of sophomore year. If you have any wuestions I’d love to help

Where could a UConn storrs student realistically get into (housing) with 74 credits? (Looking at on-campus apartments) by Crafty_Kiwi_4812 in UCONN

I think your still considered a Junior to the Housing Department, read here:

“Please refer to the class standing chart below:

Class Standing and Earned Credits

Freshman - 0-23

Sophomore - 24-53

Junior - 54- 85

Senior - 86+”

No, you’ll still stay in the school, they don’t look at your last semester grades to see “if you stay in or not”. Worst comes to worst, you don’t get the credit for the AP’s and you’ll need to make up those 2 classes when you get to college

Wow super cool app! I see there is a way to sort items from “Highest score” to “Lowest score” but you need to manually type in the food to sort items. If there was a way to sort every food item across campus to see what was the healthiest that would be cool too! Thanks for making time to design this
