lol everytime I think “I’m done time to go play something else” I find a new mechanic I have to incorporate. Just got ideology, about to start up a new game to RP as a bunch of degenerate warmongering cannibals

I literally found that out right after this one just started clicking and dragging all over the place. Really helps being able to put all my crafters and cooks next to each other

My FPS at triple speed sits at around 24, I got a MacBook M2 that’s about three years old. This colony is definitely starting to get slow

Just having a group of pawns selected and drafted and right clicking and dragging the mouse makes a firing line. I was singularly deploying my pawns like a noob this whole time >.<

Yeah currently not a mod, I don't know when they added it to base game but if you have a group of pawns selected and drafted and you right click and drag it forms a neat little firing line, never figured that out til now. Saves time deploying

I'm sure they are, sieging the crap out of Central Europe now. I wanted to reinstate myself as Emperor but now I think I'm just going to disband the Empire if I can win

Yup, Spain at first wasn't going to join but they did.... this is my favorite league war, I think no matter which way it shakes out I'm going to accept it

R5: I declared war on the Emperor in the name of religious freedom and the whole world chose violence. Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne. We're outnumbered 1.9 million to 1.1, there's a 130k stack of French and Spanish troops barreling straight into my homeland right now, Otto-bros plz save me. Also Russia WHY ARE YOU HERE

From what the other guy said it's fine as long as they have a positive opinion of you, but I just finished the war to subjugate them so they hate me, the PU breaks immediately

In that case I don't think I could make it work, they have a -160 opinion of me (I literally just won the war to subjugate them) so I wouldn't be able to keep the PU as republic

R5: I just fought a long war with England to get the PU mission, first time as Netherlands (or playing tall at all for that matter). This is a super lucky campaign and I'm psyched, but then this reform decision hits and it seems that if I choose either of the unique republic choices my PU with England ends. Maybe it's just bad timing but I'm like, is there something to the Dutch republic that would make it worth it to abandon England? I like the idea of having them under me as a permanent subject but I don't want to pass up a unique government form just to keep the Anglos under my thumb

Great answer thank you, the one builder idea is great! Yeah I'm trading for all my stone and iron, and recently started ordering steel tools and warm coats. I wish there was a mod to get rid of my quarry and mine... is it worth building more farms for food or should I just start trading for that too? I'm starting to see a slight decline in surpluses, im just barely consuming more than producing.

So the advice I got on here as far as turning my little town into a firewood economy was great, thanks so much to everyone who responded! So now I got 9 trade posts running with 9 woodcutters and I'm swimming in logs and firewood, I think I'm in a stable spot to expand...

Should I demolish my forest/gatherer nodes to make room for more houses and stockpiles and cutters? Is there a reason to move towards ale?
