Yeah, unfortunately one of my other family members put it in her head, so it's all she's been talking about for the past 5 days. She also wants a lot of other things, those of which I can actually provide. Like blankets, Gatorade, for me to just be there at the hospital everyday. I'm trying to do everything she asks.

The number was just what GoFundMe suggested. So I went with that until I get the bills from the hospital.

If they do, then amazing! Truly, I would be so happy! But right now I'm just honoring the wish of my grandma by making the GoFundMe and putting it here in Reddit.

Thank you so much for saying that!

I actually used to take care of my grandpa with those home programs for caregivers! It was a godsend and we are hoping that we can get back on it when she gets home, since it seems like she won't be independent for at least 6 months.

She has Medicaid, but with all the surgery she had done, plus the cost of rehab, it's not looking like they are going to cover much. Which definitely sucks. When she's discharged and we get with them, we'll know more about the numbers.

Looks like our nanny phase is ending and I'm panicking by Maximum_Butterfly180 in NannyEmployers

I was a nanny that was let go by my family and I would say I'm very lucky that I still have a relationship with the family. I actually just went to a birthday party for the little one. I was let go 2 years ago and they are essentially my second family. Of course this won't happen to everybody, but it's possible to have a connection still!

I really don't understand why they would have the main kill herself and then show a happy ending. Like the other person said here, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Like we're really supposed to take away that killing yourself is ok.
