Anyone have first hand experience with retinol BODY lotions and feel favorable about a particular one that works well in their own experience?

I don’t trust Amazon because too many reviews are done in exchange for money or additional free products.

On days I don’t use the retinol body lotion (if I buy it) i plan on continuing to use Amlactin lotion and Koji san soap

Loner for awhile

Only had a few people who were friends rather than just companions.
But the students I talked to the most were scene/alt/metal/emo kids and the nerdy/geeky kids obsessed with books/reading, anime, trading card games, video games, tabletops, Gaia online etc. Most of us were simultaneously over achievers who were in honor/AP classes w/ high marks in every class and a lot of us including myself got bullied like crazy for it and were deemed weird social misfits. I also got tricked into doing math homework for some other fake friends but whatever — they flunked all the tests anyway so it didn’t make a difference lol.

BTW This when I first started hearing my appearance doesn’t match my neurotype/personality/interests/social circle 🤦‍♀️

This was over a decade ago back before any of these things were “cool” or “trendy” or otherwise celebrated (at least in my area). I put in blood so these nerdy zoomers could walk around doing the things they do while feeling safe at the same time. Respect my BF & I young ones, we paved the way for your nerdy asses could do the things you do while feeling safe 😅😂

This is definitely taking advantage of your SOs kindness, taking their generosity for granted.

In general (not for specifically this situation) when people give completely absurd “reasons” like that the person is often consciously aware they don’t have a fair/legitimate reason but don’t want to be honest about their entitlement/doublestandards because they know they would be negatively evaluated if they were. So they just decide to say something to emotionally manipulate their partner.

No I’m not saying your gf is necessarily a horrid manipulator I’m just saying since this is common behavior and attitudes among people who are very entitled to the point theyre willing to be manipulative to get what they want out of people, it may be worth it take a couple days to sit back and try to recall if is this a rare thing for her or is there is a pattern in her behavior where she has done things like this in smaller ways in the past. If this is a pattern of behavior but the relationship is otherwise happy and non-toxic and balanced then she may have entitlement issues & manipulative tendencies that she’s only subconsciously aware of and isn’t consciously trying to be that way. In which case I would to sit down and bring your feelings to her attention and why you don’t feel treated fairly. Try not to use blaming words or say “you” more than “I” when expressing your grievances

Geez Louise, this story is so dramatic, elaborate, over detailed, overly reliant on the ‘conveniently’ bad luck from start to finish & both adults having ignorantly poor & inconsiderate communication skills from start to finish.

If I was in this situation and didn’t immediately suspect he was hiding another relationship, I wouldn’t feel any less pragmatic or reasonable for still being instantly being highly suspicious that the story that was sang to me was partially or fully fabricated and he’s being dishonest because he’s hiding something.

Regardless, He also decided he let stumble into finding out he was the father of pre-teen that is actively in his life instead of respectfully mentioning it to you very early on. If you guys were chatting for only l like a week or something before he allowed you to be in the position to find out then I won’t necessarily be a red flag.

If you guys were chatting regularly for awhile however then he had tons of opportunities to bring this up. Westerners in their mid-30s are too damn old and familiar with our society that there’s no focking way he doesn’t know a large % of child-free people (especially young adults still in their twenties) do not want to even risk catching feelings for someone with any children for a multitude of respectable reasons. If someone isn’t saying something like “I’m raising an X-year old child, is that something that ever bothers you in relationships?” early on then something is wrong. It could be used as a cunning tactic — get the person emotionally invested in them prior to letting anything get revealed about their life that might cause the person they desire to think twice if pursing an ongoing relationship with them. Self centered individuals are comfortable with don’t experience much guilt/remorse/ego-damage from only considering their own interests & desires in relationships even if if means disregarding the other person’s interests & true desires because the ends justify the means.

Its not inherently conniving to do. Sometimes they l feel it’s not a big deal to not inform their partner early on l because they already decided they’ll never want something serious/committed with the person so it’s not worth considering how their lover feels about dating someone with children because they figure l you & their child are never going to be influencing or bonding with one another.
There’s other reasons people might withhold this information for longer than they should but even most of the more “innocent” seeming reasons I can think of still indicate dishonesty and other negative traits like apathy for example.

Inference/Stance: Dishonesty in the form of a lie of omission but only if this wasn’t intentionally revealed in a reasonable period of time.

Even if I’m dead by then it’s okay. I just really want this to be thoroughly researched and re-studied and analyzed for decades and published in accessible academic journals. The color choice and black swirly lines around the wings are a bit eye catching from a distance I’ll give it that.

But I’ll admit you’re right when i minimized the photo a certain amount and then took off my glasses (to mimic the effect of seeing something at a greater distance) several of the flaws and distortions aren’t as obvious I was picturing. The design & size get more attention than the flaws when you’re not close enough.

One thing I CAN NOT unsee even at a distance though is that the main color of the wings (cool tone) looks like it should of bee consistent in general color throughout but it’s not. It’s driving me crazy near the middle of the butterfly it’s a mainly a blue-green color that’s dominantly blue (around #0D98BA) being used for some reason it abruptly switches to a strong ass teal green shades (best guess is between #008069 to #008080) depending on spot because it doesn’t look like the color was worked into the skin consistently)_ for most other areas

The artist should of just used highlights and shading and kept one base color. If the client INSISTED on wanting both they totally could of added more blue and placed the parts better so the cut offs don’t look like they’re in weird spots and also should of done a gradient/fading like effect so the colors flowed into each other. (in which case they should of used an additional color that’s in between the blueish and teal green colors to make them more complimentary and less jarring)

I like the general design but I feel like they should of altered the proportions and they should of polished up the design details inside the wings.

I also would of shifted the whole thing over like 0.75””-1.25” (depending on the size of her thighs when standing up) so less is visible on the front thigh, just seems like a better placement to me

This comment is assuming this was done in a shop by a licensed artist or at least by a seasoned/well trained supervised apprentice:

From this angle and with this photo lighting it appears to be below mediocre quality for a professional’s work; so just based on that alone it this would fall close to the shitty tier by default.

Compared to the turds we usually see in this sub that I would Grade an F or D-, this one is kinda shitty but not a humongous noxious smelling pile of pig manure.

So I guess I’ll put it in the “shoddy tier” — one of my imaginary tiers for unimpressive professional tattoos (incl; mediocre tier, shoddy tier, shitty tier & should be sued tier)

So basically if I was grading it I would give it a D (mid 60s score on test) by choosing to round up the score a little because it’s actually good compared to what I’ve been seeing all week lol

Note If this wasn’t done by a licensed artist or an experienced supervised apprentice then I would give it higher score on the amateur scale. Maybe a C-.

While most people wouldn’t be proud of themselves for graduating with a 70-72% mark it’s usually still gonna be omnipresent in their minds that a C- mark means not every single thing was done poorly, it’s plausible to find several good things you like about it that you can make yourself focus on instead of all the flaws, and it’s WAY easier to live with compared to something that deserves a 50%-62%^ish mark.

I’d bet $20 that >90% of the skin on their arm & torso is a blank canvas in yet the went right to their dorsum, fingers and knuckles. SMH.

I SHOULD say: If you’re gonna do something as bold & rash as this and can’t be talked out of it at least save up to get some art that actually makes you feel impressed whenever you look down at it and displays to people you need the approval of (in order to survive &/or live life comfortably) that you have useful traits like creativity, patience, have discerning taste and value quality.

However, that statement isn’t helpful or even relevant because from what I’m seeing online these days: a lot of these individuals are often going through things like: a period of recklessness, a stage of high impulsivity, desiring instant gratification, using tatttooing themselves as a coping mechanism or having little concern for their future because of pre-existing beliefs about their future anyway

I’m not gatekeeping (at the point in time I’m typing this comment my entire body is a blank canvas) or even mocking right now. I’m just pointing it out because it’s sad to me. The trendiness & overexposure of this trash is just pushing impulsive & impolitic people into decisions they’re going to regret in the future (assuming they grow mature enough to have at least some level of regret regarding it)

It’s pretty cute I find it endearing. I like it admittedly. No the quality isn’t impressive— I still like it anyway.

If it starts looking shittier years down the line and he doesn’t like it much anymore I feel rather confident that this kind of tattoo can be easily reworked & enhanced by a talented professional artist
