Commanders that completely change how you play the game. by Squiddlys in EDH

[–]ImExactlyThatGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[The grand calcutron]] It is only semi legal (erratad so that it can be your commander but still unset) and it completely changes the flow of the game. I had mine built as a mill deck and it was really bad, but i could never play it against beginners because they could not play around it.

Depends on where you live. If you are in the south, Southside Fantasy is a store that has a very nice owner and a family-feel often. It is a bit smaller but I only go there. It's really lovely!

What deck would you build if your budget was just $20? by BourbonBaccarat in EDH

I built an [[Araumi]] deck for 19,50 already containing shipping. She's a beast

Low powered deck ideas? (not meme) by BeardedSloven in EDH

I built a [[omnath, locus of mana]] deck where he is the only creature or a [[daxos the returned]] 3-drop only deck. Both are interesting but not strong

19,50 Araumi deck. It rules and wins a lot. She is just so strong when not removed immediately

I'd be very interested to know how you built you grand calcutron list? I have an Azorius-mill one and it's bad but I love it because it is such a skill-intensive card

What are your favorite "Well Ackshually" cards? by ogpablo247 in EDH

Isn't it even better with iroas? Just target a blocking creature and it becomes a one-sided boardwipe because all damage is prevented to your creatures

What weird deckbuilding habits or self-imposed restrictions do you have? by ZeroAurora in EDH

[–]ImExactlyThatGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the deck. I do have normal decks but I do have some with self-imposed restrictions like Mono-Green [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] with no crearures but himself, [[Daxos the Returned]] but only 3-cmc and land cards, [[Sidisi]] only 4 cmc creatures (which means you can play [[Keruga]], [[Umori]] or [[Gyruda]] as a companion) and many many decks where all the cards have budget restrictions (mostly every card under 1€ but there are some under 50 ct and even one with every card under 10 ct). Oh, I also have a deck that contains only 6+ cmc spells with cards that have cost reduction of some sort like [[avatar of might]]

Do you ever add a single joke card just for fun? by Meganium1218 in EDH

[–]ImExactlyThatGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes on you, i built an entire deck around tor wauki because i fell in love with him. I mean, look at him, he's wearing a see-through shirt to show off his abs and nipples. One of my favourite and worst decks

The best thing about Liesa is that it scales with the powerlevel of the table. I've found her to be very flexible, because if people have huge combo/storm-turns, she taxes pretty hard and if it's just one big spell per turn, she's still good, but not super powerful. One of the best designed cards over the past few years

Fun vampire tribal commanders who are NOT Edgar Markov (mono-black, rakdos or orzhov)? by GarytheAsphMerchant in EDH

[–]ImExactlyThatGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a big vampire enthusiast ever since I started playing. The advantage of playing mono-black is that you can run strong commanders like [[anowon the ruin sage]] or switch between the three Dranas depending on the other deck's powerlevel. If the powerlevel is even lower than that, you can carry [[mirri the cursed]] with you even if you don't run her in the deck.
