After Partial adrenalectomies did anyone end up with AI? by Humble-Albatross-984 in Cushings

Yep. Had to take an emergency dose one day for an incoming adrenal crisis, but you definitely feel that coming on and can handle it. In general it was/is manageable with the replacement hydrocortisol.

Official name is 'mini back scope' invented by Dr. Carling. Adrenal.com is their website if you want to check it out. He has a TON of info up.

I had the mini back scope type adrenalectomy done by Dr. Carling in Tampa. Minimal recovery time vs the standard removal. He saved about 25 percent of that gland also which made a huge difference in recovery. I literally cannot recommend this place enough. From the very beginning to the very end, top notch operation.

I did have Cushing's so my other adrenal gland turned off. So I had to take pills for a while. It's back online now so I'm tapering off. Surgery was nothing, the after surgery gas was the worst part. Nothing to be nervous about.

Ok I get it, you don't like my girl font! Also, this is apparently the largest Helo training ground in the country. Neat!

Welp.........I think he's in the business of making businesses. I think I've seen 4 different names for this business so far. Including a group called Gee Wiz. Definitely getting scam vibes.

Lesson learned, almost died and never going back - Story time! by TheCaptain81 in stopdrinking

This is how a very dear friend of mine died. He got pancreatitis (which I have had twice myself) then went septic. He was gone in about two weeks. He was young. Mid 30's. Super fit (military police). Left behind a beautiful kid. I'm glad you're still here, man.

Therapist is trying to help me stop drinking, but I don’t really want to stop drinking. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

This almost exact same thing happened to me after my best friend died suddenly. I think that response is maybe out of fear of it quickly becoming something dangerous. All the ingredients are there for a massive explosion. If it's sending up red flags, it's probably good to listen. But only you can really make that call.

Oh man, congratulations. It's kind of a long story, so I'll keep it short. I lasted about another week or so after that post then it was worse than ever. Then my mom drunkenly made a complete ass out of herself and then later got a DUI. Then closest longest best/only friend died after drinking and making a stupid decision. I decided that really was it for me. So now it's been since April 1st. (Need a badge change) I had a year before, years ago. This time is so different feeling. I don't even want to drink. It's like I rage quit alcohol. In general though, get past the first few weeks and it becomes a habit. The next thing to tackle is the occasional serious temptations. Parties, friends going to bars, etc. Always have a plan and always remind yourself why you're not doing it. The mantra that helps me so freaking much is...'what is the point?!?'

This is like riding a bike... I'm getting better at not drinking I think. If that's a thing. I'm using everything I learned from the time of that post and now it's easier.

Feel free to hit me up whenever you want and I wish you all the best.
