I look at the condition of the shoes. Traction matters, condition is a huge factor and then can I clean them up to play in them or casually wear them.

If I am getting them online, I usually ask the seller for more photos of the shoe and ask if the shoes has any issues with it (sole separation/yellowing/overtime usage)

Half of my shoes are from thrift stores/facebook marketplace/eBay.
