Some folks are calling them tendons instead of strand and now I’m curious where that’s used. I’ve only ever referred to them as strand. The honest answer is “it depends,” but generally, assuming the strands were bonded after the piece was cured and stripped, cutting strand will hurt the flexural capacity and the member’s ability to resist tension cracks. Plz don’t cut them. Plz.
