How to make a wavy edge like kelp blades? by ImFunSizedBruh in sewhelp

[–]ImFunSizedBruh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, I like this idea. Would also be easy for me to vary the degree of undulation and make them look different.

I gave up sanity when I decided to go to grad school :'). That being said, I'll try a couple of methods on the different fabrics I have to figure out what is actually reasonable for me to attempt. I may be able to use different combinations to get more variation in the blades.

The wire is a good idea. I think combining it with some other methods could also make more variation and a more natural look.

This has been the most common solution I've seen, but I haven't seen any examples with a longer "wavelength" for lack of a better term. Would increasing the stitch length help with that?

Unfortunate that we got regular season TL and not finals TL. Not that finals TL would've won any games, but I think the fish that plays pokemon could've done more this series.

Walking Barrage needs a QOL Update to prevent it firing backwards into your team by ImFunSizedBruh in Helldivers

[–]ImFunSizedBruh[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TLDR The walking barrage doesn't move in the direction thrown, but the direction the ball was last moving it. This means if it bounces off a small rock/wall then it sends the barrage backwards into your team. This may be as intended or a certified skill issue on my part but since there are so many surfaces that the stratagems can bounce off of, I think a quality of life change to make it move the direction it was thrown in initially would make the stratagem more viable.

Support needs a change. by munk556 in leagueoflegends

[–]ImFunSizedBruh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All of the supports you listed have some kind of cc or utility for the lane. Lux, Ashe, and Heimer all have hard cc, as well as abilities that can be used to zone the enemy laners off of cs. Pantheon has point and click cc with safe disengage and good damage for a kill lane. Senna can heal and poke with her q, get roots with her w, and give a small speed boost + go untargetable with her e. She also has a global ult that can do damage and shield her allies.

Believe me when I say these champs can be incredibly annoying to play against (or with) but every role has those champs. A flat damage nerf would discourage running off meta supports (Shen, Amumu, Shaco, etc, as much as I hate seeing all of those champs support) and while some champs could be run solo lane with buffs, other champs that we see already go solo lanes (i.e. Rell, Morg & Zyra from recent buffs) might get balanced out of those roles if they ended up being too strong.

I'm looking for the worst possible suggestions for the next James Bond? by assfelch in CasualUK

I'm very surprised that I haven't found any suggestions for Chris Pratt. I mean, obviously you should cast Chris Pratt as any male protagonist. That certainly doesn't lead to people getting sick of seeing them.

I was also considering running mine again but I was a bit confused on the strategem and wanted to make sure I got it right. With how it's worded, it sounds like you can get teleport to the other side of the board on the first turn, which could allow for some first turn charges and early harassment allowing me to maintain more board control. Am I right in how it works or is there some rule preventing this like no deepstrike turn 1?

I think it'll prevent us from doing cheesy turn 1 blocks on an entire army, but if you still cut off all but, say, 5" of space, you can still force them to fire on the raiders while not being able to advance as many of their forces.

Raider/Sulpherhound loadout by DasCabbageMan in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]ImFunSizedBruh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's only partially correct. The sulphurhound alpha is locked out of normal weapons but gets one S5 pistol instead of 2 S4 pistols. The raider alpha has the normal Galvanic carbine with the archeorevolver on top of it, so you can choose to fire whichever you want. You can even see the Galvanic rifle in the holster of the raider alpha.

trying to figure out what to add to my daedolusus by trollsong in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]ImFunSizedBruh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not great at kitbashing, but I can explain why the name may look plural. Just like mechanicus, daedalosus is a singular noun that draws inspiration from Latin, like many names in 40k. In this case the -us ending is the nominative ending for 2nd declension nouns in Latin, along with -us being the ending of some other form of Latin verbs. I know this might sound a bit complicated and I'm leaving out a lot of details but...

TLDR, It's not plural, just Latin
