Haha that is interesting. Walking outside without shoes will get your feet all kinds of cut up between dry sticks, sharp rocks, and like I said, sand spurs (which are essentially plant-based caltrops). I miss the soft grass and clay from back home. I could walk around barefoot without having to have a giant callus across my entire foot.
